no the beta is gone, just remember if you draw any plans in X12, you want to continue but change your mind and don't upgrade you will not be able to open that plan in X11
-
maybe it's in the room or floor defaults, try those
-
if you have manual roof planes and don't want to disturb them ,just copy your plan ,open that and use the auto roof planes, then copy the roof planes just for that area back to the plan.
-
You might want to try an give the "PBR" a try. much fester
-
I don't see them, might be a video card driver, try to update the driver

I think you are correct b/c I notice the default automatically checking itself for headers, must have something to do with auto wall framing on. The window labels will always stick to new or existing even with auto wall framing on. looks like a bug to me or turn auto wall framing off, but I don't like to turn it off, that causes other problems, especially when designing. not sure how to handle this

Thanks Michael, but I've been doing this for 15 years, it didn't work in X11 . . Headers are fairly new but it would be nice if they worked like typ window and door labels.. just saying that if the header labels stayed (e) when I change the default header label to (n) like window and door labels do and always have. I guess what I'm trying to do is have the header labels non-dynamic so only new windows and doors put into the plan will have the (n) assigned to them. I realize I can select and change the label s but with a lot of new and old labels in the plan, it could take some time to do.. I also change the schedule not to include the existing windows and doors...
-
For windows and doors I change the label itself--- for headers I change the header label under framing but when I do it changes all the existing header labels to new.
-
I never have the default checked and it still will not work like the window and door labels. I use a macro in the label (nominal size)
-
one thing I have noticed is that when drawing the as built with an (e) in the header label everything s ok, then when I save the existing and draw the new plan and change the header label to (n) for new windows and doors, all the header labels change in the entire plan. this just isn't how the door and window labels work. Please make the header labels work just like door and window labels do. Submitted.

try cad detail from view in the" cad" drop down
-
Out here the hot plug is turned upsidedown so you can spot it easy. you may need a custom cad block to show it.

It would be very helpful if Chief would give all of us remodelers more tools for new and existing even though it can all be made a part of a template plan. basically I have set up mine many years ago and not had to mess around with it since except for minor adjustments.

I find that each different city has made up their own rules and they are all different, but things could change with this one, who knows? -
How can I be positive that I can delete past "Program Data" files?
DRAWZILLA replied to John_B's topic in General Q & A
I move all the old data files to my 4tb backup drive. You can always access them if needed. I then delete the old program files because I will never go back and you can always open recent old plan files in the latest version. I do keep 2 versions back but when I get a new version, I uninstall the oldest version. If you work on old versions a lot then by all means keep them if that works better for you but you may have to invest in a larger hard drive. -
It could be gone for good. RIP

I also updated the lib's this morning without any problems

California Assembly Bill 68
DRAWZILLA replied to builtright3's topic in Building Codes and Compliance
As in the past, at least around here the cities, and I deal with 50 of them, have made up their own rules about ADU's and didn't follow the state guidelines so I think the cities will try the same, but this one could be tied up in the courts for a long time. The secret is to catch the cities off-guard early before they lawyer up. -
I also set my snap to 1"

In California I have had a structural engineer stamp all drawings for 30 years now mainly for all beam sizes (calcs) and lateral shear walls, pretty much required in the big cities here.. We also have to do energy calc's which have gotten very complicated lately. The cities here have all gone mad.!!
