  1. Not my concern. My dimensions are QC checked before getting to the framers. If the framer is scratching his head, he is the problem, not the plans.
  2. I have one builder that does their slabs to the outside of the sheathing. My wall set up for them is 3-1/2" stud, 7/16" OSB. 1/16" Houswrap, set the foundation to build to the housewrap. Exterior of a 50'w home is 49'-11". slab is automatically set for me to 50'-0". Easy as that. Don't get all wrapped up in all the 1/8" stuff.
  3. I think most would say just evil, but thanks!
  4. I'll stick to my original assessment, overthinking. If this creek doesn't have to do with the construction or design of the structure, then we have all wasted too much time on it.
  5. You're overthinking it... Click on the polyline, use the convert tool and make it a TERRAIN FEATURE (that's what it is), assign the water material, done. 30 seconds.
  6. Not enough info. Is the hatch a part of the wall default, hatch tool, etc...
  7. Without the plan, it looks like the cabinets are overlapping and that isn't a filler, it's the overlap amount. Auto fillers don't move cabinets, they simply disappear. You have something else going on in there.
  8. Before spending too much time and effort on finding a v.8 dongle, I would want to know if your computer operating system would even run that. You may well be wasting your time even trying to run that version.
  9. What level did you build the terrain on?
  10. Save yourself some time if you do a lot of framing plans, and set these colors and fills up in your template plan. Once that is done you never have to worry about it again.
  11. Yes. Simply place your section and use the break tool to place the break and drag to where you need.
  12. So why don't you? Is there a problem?
  13. I'm with Rob, someone isn't looking at the fact that this structure has a 6" concrete core. New guy in the office or first time dealing with an ICF?
  14. @Dermot this is another one of those situations where Chief misses the boat. @robdyck will you place a suggestion for this situation please. This is one that should be fixed asap.
  15. Simply print in B/W or turn the color off when sending to layout.
  16. I do 90% basements and never use the furred wall checkbox...saves a lot of headache.
  17. Lineweights, linetypes, above and below grade can al be controlled via your elevation layer set. You are making more work for yourself.
  18. Joe and I posted at the same time, but you need to select all those individual pattern lines and change them. Make sure the layer set you are using for the CAD detail is not the same as something else you are using or you will be in even more trouble.
  19. Why would you take a powerful, easy to manipulate elevation camera view and turn it into a bunch of CAD lines?
  20. He is using X12 in that video and we have all things already.
  21. Yes. Multiple ways. Add a macro to the room in a text box, or look at your layers and turn on the layer for room area. Just remember when you turn that layer on it turns on that text for EVERY room....even small closets.
