Select your deck and DBL Click (or use a shortcut if you have it set) and open DBX > Select Deck Support> and under Deck Beam enter your beam spacing. Here is an image I hope it helps

Scott, I used his ramp with a railing tool following the steps. You had a video a while back of what you talking about a railing sitting on solid wall framing. I like doing it that way you have more control over it. In this case I just used his plan and and used railing tool.

I used a railing tool this way you can align stairs. Just make your rails and follow stairs. Have to do some manual tweaking also.
-
If you select everything select transform replicate and use Reflect Horizontally... that worked also

Manufacturer specs vs. library items from manufacturer
Greg_NY61 replied to stager386's topic in General Q & A
Have you tried pulling a toilet from Kohler website and see if the specs are accurate there if not you can take the specs for that model and make a note on the side of it. Also if size is a concern as display goes, I usually bring the model into Sketchup and use Scale tool to make it the right size and match the specs. If you don't use sketchup, let me know and I will be happy to do the size tweak and you can upload back into your library. -
upcoming 2 day training classes in Idaho

Mike, I was only kidding... I'm on the East Coast and they never had them around here, not to mention if they had one around here, there is plenty to do and see in NYC. Your best bet would be Google Idaho attractions and see what they have down there, you might find something your wife likes to keep herself busy. -

Chief will arrange Gardening seminar for the spouses while husbands in class . -
Yes, Mark is right just search for freestanding and it will come up. The one I posted I'm not sure where it came from, probably from a 3d Warehouse, I did a model in sketchup about 6 months ago and used that Faucet so I still had it in my Sketchup model folder, so if you say its Kohler it could be Kohler.

Mark, see if this will work for you. Floor Faucet.calibz

Is this what you trying to do? shed_fixed.plan

Glad can help! Have a good weekend also!

I did floor framing and it showed up in perspective view. Attached the picture and the plan. Pinehurst_Deck_Fix.plan

I feel it's being sluggish in many instances which I haven't noticed in x7, like when accessing library items you have "hourglass loading" sometimes longer than other times. When doing adjustments in perspective view, like making cuts, etc update takes a while sometimes, etc.

Just curious, why are driveways and sidewalks not editable?
Greg_NY61 replied to mtldesigns's topic in General Q & A
Yes Scott, if you showing curbs, cuts, etc it will not work with the terrain feature. You can make the curb but you will not make the cut. Driveway tool definately needs some modification so we can have more control and things like have an option to have a belgium block curb which can be cut at sidewalk intersection, options which you mentioned being able to make different curb cuts, etc. -

I use Terrain Feature to create driveways and sidewalks, you can edit, do anything you want with it, create any shape and it always follows the terrain. -
Mansard roof with flat eaves. 3 roof pitches per side?
Greg_NY61 replied to Hyrule's topic in General Q & A
Nice touch and a beautiful job Dave!!! -
Thanks everyone! It seems it's only doing that with the grid on. When I turn the grid off everything works good. I also think its a good idea to convert PDF to JPG, I just looked at the file and I only have 2 floors and the roof with some interior walls and its 4.40 MB. I will try to convert to picture. Thanks again!
-
Thanks! I will check when I get home and let you know if that was it.

I'm having this problem with a PDF file. When PDF plan is scanned into CA and you zoom in on the are you get grid background covering some of the plan. Did anyone experienced this?
-
When I did this I used the platform, adjusted top height and put a half wall under it and set the railing height to the bottom of the platform. Change colors and add anything you like to it. I hope it helps.

Johny if this what you trying to do as in the picture. Do what my good friend Dave from DMZ suggest and I think he just did a video on that. Go to Areal View Set and delete the roof> Build Roofs> and just select> Make Roof Baseline Polylines (turn the layer on) Now you will see all your baseline polylines. Select them all and pull it over the balcony and Build your roof again and make sure you check mark Use Existing Baseline Polylines and you done. Something funny going on on the left of the house, with that you just have to tweak the roof a little and it's done. I would play a little more with it and get it where you have to be but I have to drive my son, but you will get it from here. Attached is the plan also. Small Lot Conceptv2_rev.plan

Is there a reason why you want dimensions to the center line of your exterior wall? The reason I'm asking is because I never ran into a situation when that measurement would be relevant to anything in real or in the program.
-
There is dimension to interior centers and there is dimension to framing centers... have you tired that?

Thanks Dave!
