Thanks for clearing that! I was just wondering what they were and I thought that textures and everything else related to the library items are packed into calibz file.

I'm trying to clean up my PC, and I ran WinDirStat program and I see that I have in ProgramData\Chief Architect Premier X8\Referenced Files folder a bunch of library zip files which amount to tens of GB. Do you need this files for any reason or they just there for when library files being installed and can they be deleted? Thanks!

It's not about adding or subtracting, it makes no sense going to the center of framing because when you do your layout you snap your lines to the edge of framing and you work all your dimensions from that line or edge of the plates.

Never seen a plan with center dimensions... Always to the face-framing. Kitchens, etc always to the face of sheetrock surface.

You might want to check your settings in Preferences

Export to .3ds or .dae with arched windows or doors does't work.
Greg_NY61 replied to amddrafting's topic in General Q & A
I couldn't open DAE file with SketchUp but 3ds it shows the door with the arched top but not the windows. Post your CA plan, so I can export the model both formats and test it. It looks like your model is missing lots of stuff. -

Thank you Jerry! Very nice collection.

Mike, click Built Roof tool and go down to Material and it should be there

I'm not at my computer but If you select the room select decking and select rebuild decking or regenerate decking something like this and that should fix it

You can divide the room and select one no ceiling over the room the other one has ceiling over the room.

There are so many sites that have free Cad details pretty much for anything you need and it's just too many to list. Here is another good site https://www.apacad.org/

Perry, that Simpson A35 do you have to use that all the time or only when in calls for in certain situations?
-
No, the image size is based on the screen capture size. IOW if you have library and layer browser open your image size will be smaller in comparison if you had these browsers closed.

You can't get that one file to delete, you have to dump the whole thing and install a new user library and if you don't have a backup for whatever you have in there, you screwed.
-
Mike, I don't think when that happens it lets you delete the folder because of that file in it. Happened to me a few times I had to go in and dump the entire User folder from the hard drive and reinstall from the backup. Since that happened I have been backing up that folder on the regular basis because I lost everything I made and it's a good thing because it happened a few times after that.

Around here zoning department would handle that issue... but if you not sure, there is always a way to create privacy you can even add a barbed wire on top of that to prevent trespassing, I'm sure neighbors will love it lol.

Maybe the label layer is off, check that

Select adjust material definition >select texture> and change the angle

Subfloor plywood should be spaced with a 1/8" gap at all edges and ends for expansion. On many T&G plywood edges from well known manufacturers, sheets already come designed to self gap.
