  1. I got it... Thank you so very much! My macros in the main Template were done the wrong way. The Macro had to be done like this %layout.label%%page% I only had P-%page% this why when I was trying to change the label it wouldn't do anything.
  2. Chop, thank for getting back. I look in there but I don't see where to put E#4 let's say in
  3. HRU Fellas! I hope everyone is having a nice summer. Have a quick question, in X10 let's say you have layout pages run P1, P2, P3 and I have to have page 4 to be E1 how do I change that page number, it seems I can't put my finger on it. Another question I got, I been using my old template throughout all versions. For some reason, I cannot get it to print not from the plan view or from the layout page. When I click to print, print dialog page comes up, everything seems normal. I click print after I check the settings its loading to a printer (I can see the progress bar loading the plan), everything is good, the printer icon is there but nothing is printing... If I click the printer icon it shows to be empty. I can send to PDF no problem and print from there,I can print image or model from the printer selection menu, but not the plan. If I open the same template and put a bunch of walls in it, it will print no problem, do you know what could be the issue or what could be inside the plan that would prevent from printing? Thanks in advance!
  4. Thank you, Dave! Much appreciated! Happy the 4th my Friend!
  5. In 2015 IRC they have a table for number studs needed.
  6. Guards are in place to prevent accidental falls... that is how building code interprets Guards. So if you take IRC code as an example the guard height minimum is 36" if there is 30" or more drop... the stair code specifies that the handrail has to be min 34-38" meaning that the handrail and top of the guard can be one and the same. Now if you look at IBC, the guard should be min 42" so if there is a 30" drop you need to have both the guard @42" and handrail @34-38"
  7. If this what you trying to do, you have to add a room on top of the garage. That being said, this is CA forum, you have to go for help to HD forum since you use HD.
  8. x2 Very nice Dave! Thanks for taking the time to do this, haven't missed a video yet, and after you think you know most of it, after watching your videos I learn something new every time. Thanks again!
  9. I would frame this roof something like this, nice and clean roof detail.
  10. I been doing as Eric and Perry suggested using a countertop, it works out perfectly every time.
  11. The railing should be sturdy and not wobble. The way they do 200LB test on the railing to make sure it's load compliant is they put railing under 200LB pressure and they release the load 24HR later and the railing should return to its original position with 1/4" leeway. If you want to do a quick test on the railing I use Pocket Penetrometer.
  12. Dave, I don't care what they say about you but in my book, you ALRIGHT!!! :-) Very nice!
  13. There is a new update they said the issue was fixed.
  14. Thanks, fellas! This is so confusing, I can build a house in my sleep but I can't figure out these fk gadgets. I will stop by tomorrow and talk to Geeksquad and see what they can come up with. @Kbird, when I installed EVGA and it didn't work, I called them and the guy told me that a 3.0 will not work with a 2.0 motherboard. You and other people saying otherwise. When I was buying my PC this where the video card choice options at the time: GeForce GT 530 (2 GB) GeForce GT 545 (3 GB) GeForce GTX 550i (1 GB) GeForce GTX 580 (1.5 GB) Radeon HD 6570 (1 GB) Radeon HD 6670 (1 GB) Radeon HD 6850 (1 GB) So since you guys saying x10 needs at least 4GB video card I'm trying to find one with the min of 4GB that will work with my PC. I will try Geek Squad see what they say. Thanks again for all the help, I will let you know what happens when it happens. With that said, I don't know why I get that bullseye effect only in CA, I use Thea rendering program with SketchUp and I don't have any issues at all, has to do something with the rendering engine.
  15. Not many card work with my motherboard... I have HP Pavilion HPE h8-1160t, using right now ATI AMD Radeon HD 6670 with Pegatron IPISB-CH2 Mother Board.
  16. Thanks, Perry! If that's the case will try this one: ASUS Radeon 4G GDDR5 Graphics-Cards RX 550
  17. Well, it sucks, got the new card and it's not working on my PC, because I have a Card slot: PCI-e 2.0x16 slot going to try this one PNY NVIDIA Quadro K1200 - ( VCQK1200DP-PB) this one also 4G bites, waiting for some info. I hope this one will work.
  18. Thanks for all the advice. This is what I got, EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC GAMING, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan), 6GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC), 06G-P4-6163-KR will give it a test run when it gets here.
  19. Hello fellas! Maybe you can help me out here before I end up with some junk video card. Thinking to swap my Video card since I been having issues with bullseye effect, etc. ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Dual-Fan OC Edition Graphics Card (DUAL-GTX1060-O3G) Is this a good video card and do you think this will solve bullseye effect and what you think in general is this good card for Chief Architect? Thanks in advance!
  20. Yes, it looks that way maybe the color needs to be changed, I didn't even look at that when was making a calibz file. I will check it out when I get back home. Thanks!
  21. Melissa, I made you this one in Sketchup, see if that will work for you. Here is both files in Calibz and SKP Cypress Tree.calibz Cypress Tree.skp
  22. I don't have this issue ( Ambient Occlusion ) with any rendering software like Thea Renderer, etc and I never had this issue with any other software except x10 Version, not sure why. I hope they get a fix in the next update if one is coming out anytime soon, for now, I turned everything off and do all the rendering in Sketchup.
  23. Richard, we have the same rule, it's the nation wide code requirement. R502.4 Joists under bearing partitions. Joists under parallel bearing partitions shall be of adequate size to support the load. Double joists, sized to adequately support the load, that are separated to permit the installation of piping or vents shall be full depth solid blocked with lumber not less than 2" in nominal thickness spaced not more than 4' on center. Bearing partitions perpendicular to joists shall not be offset from supporting girders, walls or partitions more than the joist depth unless such joists are of sufficient size to carry the additional load.
