  1. I typically do this for the horrible plans that come from Canvas I am given.......... Open one of your Preferred Plans ( your Template if you have one ) and Export everything available to a Known Backup folder for reuse... eg : C:\Documents\Chief Architect Premier X14 Data\Backups also save a copy for your Preferred Plan into this same folder , so you can import Saved Plan Views (SPVs) and Defaults ( not Default Sets) too from it. Export : Default Sets ( Annotation Sets in old-speak) Layersets Wall Definitions ( may not be needed ) Note Types On Import in to the Provided Plan make sure to Overwrite/Replace etc in each case.... Then Import the SVPs from the Preferred Plan, followed by the Defaults Mick.
  2. Pixplant have been Updated ( 3.0 > 5.0 , no version 4 ) and now also does PBR Materials. For those with Version 3 already there is an upgrade option which cost $23 for the Freelancer Version ( available for 1 Person Businesses. ) FreeLancer otherwise is $39. https://www.pixplant.com/purchase.php?version=5.0.43&pid=10&plat=win&type=eval Support+ Tutorials https://www.pixplant.com/support.php Free Trial here too: https://www.pixplant.com/download.php Mick.
  3. Yes as CS said , the problem is they can signup and start posting immediately, and seemingly with no limit. AFAIK Guests cannot post, you need to be a Member which is pretty much how all Forums work. Every who buys a Chief Product should be required to Sign In at least once, since it's needed for their Digital Locker and setup an ID with a Auto Product link in the SIG or under the Avatar , which would help with Support on both ChiefTalk and HomeTalk and has been an Issue for 10-15yrs? since I've been around too. 5. Well this user joined 5 mins ago and is already posting SPAM .... ( took me 2 mins to ready this thread.... ) that kind of thing could be stopped... they have also hit two other Forums as well in the last few minutes...
  6. For me it appears Macrium Reflect was involved too , but CA released a patch for this if you haven't updated yet ....still testing here.... no real info provided though on the cause. chief-architect-x14-update-notes_V4.24.2.2.1.pdf https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/34655-x14-frequent-freezing-anyone-else-having-this-problem/?do=findComment&comment=275131 Mick.

  8. might be enough to rename the Live Oak plan temporarily with .old or something.... M.
  9. Well that should nicely let the Client get the right look ......... M.
  10. Try turning on the Layout Box Borders , I make the Line Style Orange , then go carefully page by page to find the (empty?) Layout Box and delete it. Mick
  11. One to report I'd say if Auto Fillers aren't finding the angled Wall. Mick.
  12. You haven't built the Framing I think............or your BackClip is too short to show one......what you are highlighting is the Fascia Board not the rafter.... M.
  13. You're welcome, if the Manufacturer of the baluster/spindle has DXF/DWG files that would save the CAD drawing part, you can then convert to a 3D solid and then a Symbol. Mick.
  14. Yes..... though if you have changed your mind on SSA now? I believe there is a 90day(?) forgiveness policy , it is always going to be cheaper to get SSA , than upgrade to the next version the following yr. * perhaps try though....as this is not a Support Issue and you aren't asking for help , you are merely reporting a bug. M.
  15. Not Auto AFAIK, just remove the kick and float the cabinet 4" off the floor and use a Solid,or Shelf or etc,etc to make and position your own. Mick.
  16. Print to PDF and make sure to check the Box for the watermark and then > Define the watermark ...text and page position.... https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/2432/adding-watermarks.html
  17. It should be possible with a custom Railing PANEL , you will need to make both Balusters from 3D Solids and then save it as a Symbol. This KB Article should get you started with the general approach..... https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-02893/creating-custom-balusters-and-railing-panels.html M. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/18908-signature-here-at-chief-talk/?tab=comments#comment-155662
  18. Edit > Delete Objects > Framing should do it..... M.
  19. You should report this to Tech. Support so the Developers are aware of a Blank Wall Type issue.... M.
  20. beat me I was just looking for this thread for you............. Mick.
  21. We ask cos different Versions have different answers , and sometimes stuff just isn't possible in older Versions..... and really is it THAT much trouble?
  22. There is no setting to auto adjust the footing Bottom Height to be 24" below the Terrain AFAIK.... Easiest way is to shot a CS Camera and do some measuring / math and in the Room's DBX > Structure Tab adjust the Stem Wall Height setting. Mick.
  23. Seems to work fine for me in the default Chief Template doing a quick test............
  24. ....... see your PMs and Email.... Mick.
  25. It is best to put the Schedule in a CAD Detail if possible ( assuming INT. has that option? - sorry I have never used it , only Premier ) and then send the Schedule to Layout , this gives a little more control over placement and Size , vs placing the Schedule in a Plan View and sending it to Layout with the Plan View. Mick.
