OK there is the TIP for this Thread since it should really be over in the Q&A Forum It is always best to post the Plan file in cases like this , there are just too many varibles , which leads to too much guessing as to the cause... Also ...No Signature = No secret Handshake for you (J.J.) It's good to have your Forum Signature filled in, especially with the Software Version, and of course a real Name is nice too .............. See mine below in Blue for how to do that. If you don't see my Signature then you have them turned off for the Forum so you need to Toggle it on by going to the Upper RH Corner of this Forum Window and Clicking on your Username and making sure Signature are enabled (green) and then Add your Own Sig. too : UserName> Account > Signatures M.

I am not sure that everyone who comes here is 100% Forum savvy , some can't even bother more than 9 words in a Question and expect a detailed Answer.... Perhaps CA could add a Sticky message at the top with the Topic heading "Please ask Questions in the Q&A Forum Only", how about it @Dan_Park

The Issue appears to be that you don't have a defined Room on the 2nd floor for the Staircase to start in , I added a Wall under the roof plane on the left to get Wall definition and it is now working..... I didn't finish all the detailing , I fixed a few Walls only....but here is the Plan back......... M. Van Asrdall_MHD.zip

This is a known Issue with X10 , it does not update the File Associations to X10 for the Library items etc , has been happening with my posted Libraries too.

Yes most of that can be done in the Camera or 3D view Defaults , but you have to do it in whatever plan you use for your New plans ( your Template File ) so the settings are there each Plan. Look in Preferences>General>New Plans for the File you use as your Template Plan Name. Thanks for the followup , good to know , years ago the advice was to only install those Catalogs you really needed and not every one available in the Online Library, I just Ordered a new Laptop , so I may have to try this old strategy too. M.

I rarely place Cabinets in 3D , I normally do all of that in 2D , then Open a Camera to check things out . I got the GE Catalog to check it out in particular but don't see any difference in load times when selecting a category eg Cooking ie it "thinks about it" for a 1 or 2 count (depends on size of catalog) and then the preview Window loads in with the small previews. clicking one of them is more or less instant in either VV or STD View. I do use Tiled to Fit Window and "Show Names" , the preview pane in .54 seems as fast in VV or STD now unlike when X10 1st came out so I do think they worked on the RCSS issue in the Original X10 . I am not sure if CA generates previews thumbs and then subsequent openings of the catalog would be faster , not having to do it again but perhaps it needs to generate the previews every time? M.

I think you are right , I have just had to live with it ,despite having top of the line hardware like you.... you can turn off RCSS in alot of Views but in the Library and DBX's is not possible so the only option is Vector view. M.

If you did your Signature? you didn't enable Signatures for your Profile ...should go Green when checked as I don't see it.... or you filled in your Forum Profile Page Info and not your Signature perhaps under Account above? M.

Post the Plan ( make sure closed in CA 1st or it wont attach ) and I'll have a quick look but am thinking what I suggested should work.... what version of Chief are you using? different versions require different answers which is why we like the Signature filled in too. M.

I don't have a 3D Printer or know much about it but have read here a few times that Chief's STL Models are "leaky" and may need "fixing" with a Mesh Repair Tool like Meshlab http://www.meshlab.net/

V10 or X10 ? (version 20 really) does the Wacom tablet work properly in Win10? I was able to get an old Bamboo Fun working with old Drivers as there are none for Win10 but I don't use it for Chief , it's on another Computer entirely. You may need to make a room with invisible walls ( unless existing room is one big ramp?)and then make the room Open below and then add a ramp as a Ramp alone will not cut the floor slab out for you. Use the windows Snipping tool to post images direct to the thread please , pdfs mean we need to download them and save them then delete them... did you try this? your computer is about as fast as it can be.....it had taken me a bit to get used to X10 and it's slight lag on opening views etc but eve the latest release ( .54) has not made things much better, I still suspect RCSS and it is better than when x10 1st came out but there is still that slight lag here and there. M.

I saw the question earlier but thought someone "in the know" would answer , as I have never really used it and hadn't noticed if it was Auto in X9 or Not, I am not ware of a Preference setting for this. M.

Assuming Interiors has WMR's? Make the main bathtub Wall one tile using a WMR set not to cut the parent object (drywall/backerboard) and use a 2nd WMR as the other Part just make it 1/16th thicker than the main Tile so it covers it, there is no need to shape both that way. It is fairly easily done in a Wall Elevation View , it is how I usually do feature Strips/bands etc. .....it may help you to watch a Vid or two on Editing CAD Lines so you can shape a WMR or Polyline and then turn it into a WMR
