  1. The Core libraries you mean ? or the Toolbars, textures and everything else is missing? did you check everything in the migrate dialog? you can force it to re-run but a reinstall on it's own won't do it, you need to rename or delete the .ini file 1st. see below
  2. Yes you can export the Entire User Folder , I do it occassionally for backup purposes, if it can't find a texture at export time it will let you tell it where it is , eg if you moved a folder or something while doing some cleanup. I would say just give it a try NOW before you really need too.
  3. We aren't supposed to "play" in that Folder
  4. No chief does not do BIM ...the Jeldwen Files are actually for Revit (.rfa) you would need some kind of Converter at a minimum , say to Sketchup or 3DS or one of the importable file types. M.
  5. Is that what you were looking for ? or was it the ALDO (Active Layer Display Options) , to quickly switch layers on and off ? I normally always have it open on a second monitor but it lookks like several Pages with a red Checkmark over it ....
  6. Currently not that I am aware of Rob, it has been asked for many times but so far there hasn't been not traction on an option to download a whole Category as we see them in the 3D Library at once, so you have to go through and get the ones you want now, and pick the rest up overtime them all up over time. It would be Nice if there was an Auto Option under the Library Menu to download the Catalogs you want. M.
  7. Steve , did you just get X10 for Xmas? check you Digital Locker at CA , as if so you should be eligible for the upgrade to X11 for free with your SSA You can also look for generic CAD details online and import them....eg dwg files. M.
  8. From the 3D Library? you need to import them into CA via the Library File Menu after downloading , this is the preferred method.
  9. You want to put 4 different pitches? that will be one messed up roof...., I thought you were trying to make a Shed roof so you'll have to explain better or provide a sketch of what you are are trying to do , but honestly I don't remember what Suite can do as far as Roofs go , so you maybe better off posting on Hometalk instead as Eric Suggested as they will know how to get what you want done in your version.
  10. Hi Richard ,I just opened the Plan to have a quick look, I don't believe it's related but noticed the wall at the front of the house at the Kitchen/dining room is not at 180° I am also not sure if that same wall should line up with the Master and Bedroom2 Wall , they are about a Wall width off at the moment. M.
  11. Not sure why it is so small here in the Chatroom Post the image goes Full size... I suggested he re-post over here Hi Paul it may help if you use Google Translate on your Image and post this in the Q&A Forum ( Questions and Answers) but maybe this will help? https://www.chiefarchitect.com/3d-library/index.php?r=site/detail/771 but you may need to draw your Own and use it as a Moulding
  12. Hi Emily , Dermot from Chief Architect just posted this in another thread with a similar Question.... Room floor and ceiling heights are dynamic defaults. If any values are set to "use default", then they will automatically change any time the defaults are changed. If you don't want them to change dynamically then all you need to do is turn off "use default". When you use the Edit Area tool to copy any object that is controlled with dynamic defaults from one plan to another, the program will allow any data that is set to "use default" to use the new defaults in the new plan. This is an extremely powerful feature but if you don't want this behavior you already have the ability to control it. M.
  13. Hi Aamir , sorry for not posting earlier I had to reinstall my Video-Capture Software (Jing) , sorry I don't have a mic so there is no Audio in this one. Jing need Flash so you may need to use Internet Explorer , FireFox and Chrome won't play it. Aamir's Roof Fix I did a bit more in your plan in X10 and saved it there too : Aamir77_gutted_MHD_Rev2_X10.plan and these are your Wall Definitions : Aamir's Wall Definitions_X10_Gutted.dat Mick.
  14. Normally a Road is not used for a Driveway as you have done , so you wouldn't need the Curb Apron at the Sidewalk , just at the actual Road. M.
  15. When i 1st opened the plan I only saw 4 trusses , so it surprised me a bit , so wasn't sure I I was missing alot more than I thought....looks like I got it though , but I have played around with it enough as I've only done 1 Dutch Gable in the last year. I am somewhat surprised that the Truss. Man. can design the Roof Trusses , which means their layout too and then won't sign off on the fact it works... how do the Sign the Required Engineer's Letter in that case? Duplicate pages from the Supplier ...no , have not seen that ...sames issues with all suppliers in your area ...or time to try another perhaps? M.
  16. Yes but I normally use the Arrow Keys to Spin and move in/out if using the Keyboard , I also use U/D or L/R a far bit too as my mouse is usually in Orbit Mode.
  17. Mike is right....... in X9 you can still use the Default check box and it would use the Default setting for the Full Camera Perspective Camera (not overview one) sorry for the Confusion
  18. Things are acting/seen a bit different in that plan cos I think it was done in X9 so I opened it in X9, so the DBX's are a bit different sorry , I was looking at a plan of Chopsaw's above in X11 so used those DBX's to show you as I had deleted the corrupt file.
  19. Are you just teasing us , or don't I understand what the issue is? , do you mean the fact that even if the Truss is identical if it faces the other Direction Chief produces a detail for both still? , I don't deal with trusses alot and here the Truss Co. here has to do the design , so I hadn't noticed to be honest.
  20. Because the new File has all it own defaults which are not over-ridden by a copy paste. Try importing the Defaults into the new plan 1st from the Old plan. M.
  21. Yes Chief Auto adds a Apron under doors if they are not at 0" off the Floor....
  22. Not a Default Location .....back to default height..... 60" in most cases....(Pic 1)... then each camera view will have the X+Y coordinates when you open it too.(Pic 2)
  23. Eric, What was the foundation bug/setting we had a version or two ago that cause weird gaps like this at the foundation after CA change how the setting worked? M.
