  1. When i 1st opened the plan I only saw 4 trusses , so it surprised me a bit , so wasn't sure I I was missing alot more than I thought....looks like I got it though , but I have played around with it enough as I've only done 1 Dutch Gable in the last year. I am somewhat surprised that the Truss. Man. can design the Roof Trusses , which means their layout too and then won't sign off on the fact it works... how do the Sign the Required Engineer's Letter in that case? Duplicate pages from the Supplier ...no , have not seen that ...sames issues with all suppliers in your area ...or time to try another perhaps? M.
  2. Yes but I normally use the Arrow Keys to Spin and move in/out if using the Keyboard , I also use U/D or L/R a far bit too as my mouse is usually in Orbit Mode.
  3. Mike is right....... in X9 you can still use the Default check box and it would use the Default setting for the Full Camera Perspective Camera (not overview one) sorry for the Confusion
  4. Things are acting/seen a bit different in that plan cos I think it was done in X9 so I opened it in X9, so the DBX's are a bit different sorry , I was looking at a plan of Chopsaw's above in X11 so used those DBX's to show you as I had deleted the corrupt file.
  5. Are you just teasing us , or don't I understand what the issue is? , do you mean the fact that even if the Truss is identical if it faces the other Direction Chief produces a detail for both still? , I don't deal with trusses alot and here the Truss Co. here has to do the design , so I hadn't noticed to be honest.
  6. Because the new File has all it own defaults which are not over-ridden by a copy paste. Try importing the Defaults into the new plan 1st from the Old plan. M.
  7. Yes Chief Auto adds a Apron under doors if they are not at 0" off the Floor....
  8. Not a Default Location .....back to default height..... 60" in most cases....(Pic 1)... then each camera view will have the X+Y coordinates when you open it too.(Pic 2)
  9. Eric, What was the foundation bug/setting we had a version or two ago that cause weird gaps like this at the foundation after CA change how the setting worked? M.
  10. What? for an emergency transfer? Do you see the activation in your Digital Locker? you haven't done your Forum sig. BTW with the Version etc you have must be pretty old I guess.
  11. Patterns only show in Vector View , move the lines there 1st to where you want them , then set the texture up the same way, ie same measurements..... CA actually sets all patterns and Textures off the 0,0 coordinate of the Grid, BTW Post the plan file while chief is closed , with some text Notes and someone will look if not me.....
  12. Only Tech Support or Sales can help you most likely , it is probable you didn't deactivate before changing OS's and now the CA Activation Server thinks you are someone else trying to use the program. try the Chat button here 1st perhaps .....https://www.chiefarchitect.com/company/contact.html M
  13. The Overview camera will go out so it's view encompasses EVERYTHING drawn in the plan and the house apparently had a nuclear missile dropped on it last night as the camera is about 3 miles up in space The house is at 0,0 or close , I checked , I set the Overview back to default height and 0.0 and it goes there , you see the corner of the house then the view snaps back out into space for some reason.... M.
  14. I also use Macrium Reflect Free to Image the HDD every 2 days to an external drive , just in case something like this happens , I also do a manual Image before any major updates from MickeySoft. M
  15. STD view may have a "light" limit while PBR doesn't perhaps? (OpenGL used to have an 8 light limit)
  16. He means you should use the x and y number to move it around till you get it right...bit laborious but the only way.... M
  17. Might not be All either as an overview camera here went to about 11 million feet from earth ......and 2 million feet out right somewhere too looking at the x and y coordinates.
  18. Just one plan corrupt? hopefully you don't have a failing HDD or something as I have not seen this level of corruption in 10+ years... M.
  19. Don't you have an archive newer than that ? is autosave not On in Preferences? Tell them the Dog ate it , but you'll have it Friday for them.... No backup of your Own to USB or something Either ? ......tough lesson to learn....
  20. Rent to Own pay monthly all other users pay yearly for SSA as far as I know . What I was told in the Past was that early access was a Bonus and not a right for all Users, it is why I Pro-rated my SSA this year to push it to August as I kept missing out or having to pay early etc to make sure I was valid come march 30th which is usually the date the Beta Expires. M.
  21. As I said in my 1st post there is an issue with this plan after being open in X9 for 10 minutes , i can't goto the 2nd floor , and now can't get from the 3D view back to the 1st floor. Re extracted your plan and open in X10 and still acting very weird like you have a bad symbol or terrain or something in there Elev. camera finally opened and you maybe right about the 2nd floor , so I hope you have that backup in your archive....
  22. Was just trying to look at the 2nd floor in an overview but the Camera is messed up it is 141803109 9/16" above the house Floor... almost 12 million ft !
  23. The Plan file attached has Walls set to Main Layer Only.... as you can see I changed some Fills.... Not convinced there isn't something going on though as the file keeps wanting to rebuild the 3D (F12) and a 3D view get me a grey background ONLY *** Overview says it is 141803109 9/16" above the Floor ?
  24. You may have a backup of some Files in the Archives Folder which is in the Chief Data Folder in My Documents... surprised TS didn't tell you that already though? M.
  25. Good news but strange , since the initial Post imported fine for me.... M.
