  1. For you no then but for the OP yes............. .........So, I am rocking a RX550 instead of the 1660 now
  2. Okay, sometime I was able to get it that way after messing with the End Post configuration but in the end just found it easier to place the full height ones myself (less frustration) M.
  3. It's not related to the direction the railings are drawn in is it ? ie where the Start/End of the wall is.... you may need to enable that if not already done.... ( it does sow i the wall DBX though too )
  4. I'd think that should generate on it's own assuming a Brick ledge is specified, it more to fix the Issue that Chief has always had of stopping the siding at the bottom of walls, at the floor platform eg on a slab at 0" absolute or where the siding stops at the top of the foundation wall, when in reality it extends down 1 1/2" - 2" in the real world to weather/air proof that joint. M.
  5. Yes that works , you don't need to close the DBX As far as I remember though. M.
  6. Chris is right about it effect new ones only changed there, unless you go to each room and turn the label OFF, and the back ON and it should regenerate. My suggestion though is NOT to use a Custom Text Style but to Use the Layer , and assign a Text style to the Room Label so they will ALL change with a change in Text Style, I have 3 or 4 different Room Label Styles for example................ You should put X13 in your Forum Signature so People know as Answer often are Version dependant..... M.
  7. Do you want to change all Fonts in a Plan? or just the Room Label? If you are using X15 ? ( no Forum Signature ) you can now use the new Font Replace Tool........... M.
  8. You know they never let us know before hand , but my guess is they are working hard on it, as personally I have never had so many cases at Tech support for "Glitches", but I guess I'm finally getting my SSA Money's worth M.
  9. Mine also , but being able to set that in the Dialog would be great.... M.
  10. Yes , using an Airgap Material has been a method for quite some time and work well, Chief has a Video on doing it too.... https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/311/creating-a-suspended-or-dropped-ceiling.html PDF: CA_Help_Special Ceilings.pdf Mick.
  11. Without the Plan we can't really diagnose problems like this, but it looks loke you've found a "workaround" M.
  12. about 2:30 in............. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/5540/what-s-new-in-x15-building-features.html?playlist=173 M.
  13. Yep , been there , done that too in the new structure dialog
  14. If it's imported into Chief?, you can use the Surface delete tool in a 3D Camera to remove the Drain ( piece by piece ) and then re-save it as a new Symbol. It is the "S" Icon with the red cross through it.............. your selection color won't be pink below, most likely
  15. I didn't notice you were using X12 actually but what you are showing is a Dimension Default DBX , not the EDIT ACTIVE VIEW DBX ---- Icon is a pencil over a Page/camera Icon If you weren't aware Chief is now Subscription only ( since Jan. 9th ) , and it may depend on your SSA assuming you still have it ? if not Subscription is now the only available upgrade Model. Mick.
  16. Not that I am aware of .............. normally as Joe mentions this is normally done in the Cabinet Schedule, which is best Created in a separate CAD Detail ( per schedule , ie cabinets, windows, doors, electrical etc etc ) NOT in the Plan view as some Schedules can really slow Chief Down in Plan View eg the Framing Schedule. If you do this in your Template Plan, you will only ever need to do it once, not every in every new plan...... and they wil auto populate in the background as you Draw. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00463/creating-and-using-a-plan-template.html *** Also being new here it is a good Idea to do your Forum Signature , so people know what version you are using etc , see mine below.... https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/18908-signature-here-at-chief-talk/?tab=comments#comment-155662 Mick
  17. You can still open the Camera View and "Clip to Room" , this is my preferred method vs Wall elevation Cameras actually.......... Result
  18. I am not a Mac User but I have not heard of any Issues with X12 on Mac OS that would cause this Issue are you sure you followed the Instructions properly for Exporting the Library on the Window Computer and then Importing it on the Mac? https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00001/backing-up-chief-architect-content.html#User and https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00091/restoring-chief-architect-content.html#restoreuser Mick.
  19. Your plans/uploads here don't include your "material sketch" so I can't try it myself but did you try flipping the "image" ( reflect vertically) in any Image editing Program? ( eg Paint ) and save it with a different name and then reloading it into the "Material" on the Texture Tab? M.
  20. Thanks Gene , typically I don't "fur" walls anymore and simply change the Walltype to a Furred basement Walltype if needed as furred walls have issues of their own ( or can ) so it would of fooled me too possibly and likely others too, possibly without realizing it, which could be an issue. M.
  21. It is probably related to an older Video card that does not full support Shader Model 6.5 in particular the necessary Extended formats TypedUAVLoad. Note: Some graphics cards, such as the NVIDIA 700 series, may support shader model 6, but may be lacking a critical feature called "Extended formats TypedUAVLoad". If a graphics card does not support this feature, the word "No" will be mentioned beside this feature in the image above, and the card will not function with newer versions of Chief Architect software. More here : https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03146/identifying-the-shader-model-of-your-graphics-card-in-windows.html M.
  22. I think Eric maybe correct, you could try lowering the contrast of the original image ( Win 10/11 Photos ) and then reload it into the Texture in Chief. M.
  23. that's one that should be reported, as that shouldn't happen and my guess is they didn't find that during testing. M.
  24. I am actually wonder if this is one of those Issues that has come back , I seem to now remember a similar issue 3-4 versions ago and it was corrected. Perhaps someone who has been around a long time like Scott Hall @dshall or Perry @DRAWZILLA remembers? ..... Mick.
