  1. of course if it's custom, it must be done manually, I seem to run into simple ones.
  2. I go to the 2nd floor and create a deck, after setup it's very fast, creates 2x? on top ( really decking) works really nice.
  3. When you print to PDF, those lines usually go away, or turn off floor joists in that camera view.
  4. Scott charges by the hour---this tells me another check is coming your way buddy , rain or shine, maybe I should change how I charge.
  5. Whoever orders the trusses is responsible (contractor) but you might owe them a lunch. Homeowner should not make changes after engineering is complete. You should at least have a disclaimer for that if it's not already in your contract.
  6. I always have a 2nd and maybe a 3rd floor in my template plan, even if there is no floor there. Never had any problems doing that, ever
  7. You actually need to move the roof planes in the "z" direction to where you want them using the transform-replicate tool, if they are manually drawn. If automatic, use the dormer DBX to lower.
  8. You need to put a checkmark in the molding profile box at the very top of the page
  9. It does attach and do it all the time without any issues, don't know why you have problems
  10. I somehow missed that great tip, thanks
  11. You can always just copy your floor plan dimensions , go down to the foundation level and paste there.
  12. An extra layer can work for a deck but not for a room with a partial deck
  13. I guess you could make it no material or air space
  14. You can't do anything with that, what you have to do is place your own p-solid there, then you can have it thicker and any material you want
  15. I don't think so, for me maybe more than 90% of all mirrors I see are just flat thin mirrors with no frame.
  16. turned it in as a bug ,and they basically told me that a thin mirror doesn't work so I have to use a lib. mirror with a frame, that is one of those things that should have been fixed a long time ago. 90% of all mirrors have no frame.
  17. when you go up to the attic level you should be able to see the attic walls, maybe they are turned off? you can always check the wall below to balloon through ceiling and it should go to the roof. Using that method means you will not see any attic walls though.
  18. That's nuts, I can't put an 8" thick mirrors on any plan. Thanks for checking that out ,I was about to quit drawing forever, but I decided to write bad check's instead
  19. ty it using a p-solid or a material region--no frame, it really should work buy doesn't--why
  20. ok , Graham, that's great but I don't use lib. mirrors with a frame, I use a p-solid with the mirror material on almost every mirror I do.. That's how we do it here most of the time.
  21. ok, so what's wrong with this pic.?
