  1. Here is what I start with template wise, of course it changes as you go along. http://screencast.com/t/2AD1ckxAEH7
  2. Design your walls then save them to your lib., Then when you need a wall just get it there and it will be added to your wall DBX automatically.
  3. Ok buddy, here is the way I do labels , very simple to do as log as you set it up correctly in your template plan. http://screencast.com/t/BDH6cxgWZAnh
  4. Also include sections and interior cameras b/c those are a pain to do, b/c you can't set one up and copy it. remember you just need to put those cameras in place where you want them after you draw the floor plan.
  5. What Graeme said is basically it. when I'm ready to start I just change a few colors and that's it
  6. Another way is to keep your as built plan separate from the remodeled plan in your layout with a separate window schedule for each. Scott does it that way but I like my way better. I combine them in the remodeled plan and just include or not include it in the schedule. also change outs can be noted that way and included in the schedule. I can do a video if you don't quite understand what I'm talking about.
  7. What I do for my as-built, is just don't include them in the schedule and they will use the actual label of the window. Then when I'm ready to draw the remodeled plan I switch all my items, cabinets ,windows ,doors, to "Include in Schedule" and anything now drawn will be in the schedule. Existing items will not and you can modify the label on those to (E) linen or (E)3040 window. I also add an (E) and (N) to the labels of all items in the plan so it very easy to distinguish the difference. .
  8. That's b/c you didn't get a large one.
  9. I put everything on my SSD. I wonder if having an SSD is the problem with some slowness?
  10. I use a template layout with all the views already sent to the layout, so I never have that problem. I never have to re-send anything so never have to re-name it. I always start a new job by taking my template plan and layout , re-name them to whatever job it is and done--everything already there. Of course you also need to link the plan to the layout. Huge time saver
  11. You can also move them in the schedule itself, to give them any number you want, just drag them around.
  12. You should turn on automatic label, that's why it won't change. if you add a note in the comments it will give you a different label#. You can also turn off, similar windows have the same #.
  13. I'm suing Chief for my heart attack.
  14. only 2 fixes for this one
  15. Taking the patterns off doesn't work for me either.
  16. Use a molding p-line in elevation view, set it to not have any casing.
  17. No way to delete all revisions at once, that I know about other than using the "undo" tool right after doing it.
  18. My high school coach ( after I left) went on to coach there for many years. He was a good guy. My brother was also a scout for them
