  1. That can only be done manually, and always has been that way.
  2. Early on ,I asked for "thumbs down marks" and got plenty, Chief blocked me from using the forum but quickly got me back. I say, don't worry about it, there are every type of people here and you can't please everyone. The only thing that really matters is ,your work, and getting it done. Everything else is just fluff.
  3. Yep he add lights to get the final effect.

  7. Looks good to me also--no problem. Do you have legacy shadows on, I have that unchecked
  8. It's been asked for many times, you can do it using invisible walls and slide a railing in that space (No room def for the railing) , there are other ways to do that also. As for the stair rail, you need to create the railing exactly what you want ,on the flat and slide it on the stairs and check "follow stairs"
  9. Joe says he's retiring when X9 hits the stand
  10. New one working great for me now.
  11. Don't forget to import to your template plans also.
  12. Thank Doug, My question is, is there anything in a profile plan shipped with any new version, that you cannot change by using the settings. Like something built in to the profile that cannot be addressed by the settings. In that case ,I would think we would need to use the new profile plan and build a template off of that.
  13. It's not one wall, it's two walls put together, as I can see. X7 has a new ,one wall with double framing. Nice feature for this kind of situation.
  14. Thanks Dennis, I see it now. The only thing I can think of is, is that a room ,(porch)? posting the plan , will give him an exact answer.
  15. I would have made that out of 1 wall -not two -with X7 multi frame walls but he may only be using X6
  16. As I look at the view, I can't see what the problem is. Is that the sun poking through? Do you have a closer view.
  17. You can do your roof planes in the roof plane DBX ,or the wall DBX for different pitch than default auto roofs.
  18. I've seen it attached to another cabinet, after you deleted the cabinet you thought it was attached to.
  19. So Doug, are you guys now saying that we should create a new template plan ,from the new profile plan that ships with each new version of Chief, and not bring forward any templates to get the best product experience? For years it's been both ways. For many versions lately, I just bring forward my templates, could that be the cause of some lag?
  20. works for me, not necessarily for the Op, b/c I didn't actually try it, but in other cases it works great.
  21. If you need to fine tune the ends ,you can also use the new "edit wall intersection tool" and pull the surface out
  22. There all different around here, you have to look it up online.
