  1. Dennis, you dog, you know the mosquitos will eat you alive down there. But the hurricane's will get you first
  2. We need to show Greg what a good California Pizza is.
  3. NOT YOUR SYSTEM FOR SURE. Are you running a "Generated sky" with "Sun follows camera", by chance. Those two don't work together real slow,--turn off Generated sky.
  4. No, I really don't know what the component code is for, and never use it,
  5. I sometimes use double floor joists with a large cantilever, that would be a nice as well.
  6. I think the workarounds are used just to get people through their problem areas, until it can be fixed or create a new tool. Some people want a way to finish their project, like now. That's all it is.
  7. And if you really want to be lazy, like me, there are some vertical batt siding in the lib.
  8. if that is a terrain line, I would expect some sort of slope to it.
  9. I'm not sure where those are, can you point them out
  10. Joe, I didn't see anything about macro's, but yes you can import those along with layersets and anno-sets
  11. You can always open the X7 template in X7, then open the X8 profile layout in X8 and just copy the data on those pages over to X8.
  12. I'll take a guess and say, I'd have to play with it to fix.
  13. or if it is just the front or a smaller area than the whole house, a molding p-line will do.
  14. For over 25 years I always did them myself, but at that price, I don't waste my time anymore, I can draw more now. Barry does my jobs on a regular basis.
  15. Just something I found Copyright-Basics-Home-Designers.pdf
  16. Those are usually just a painted metal panel, no swing, no thickness, no hinges, I just use a wall material region, noted using a label. I would not want it in any schedule
  17. Another question: if a firestop is required, then is an access to each space also required?
  18. Larry, thanks for the reminder , no ref sets using the Cad detail method.
  19. Is any part of the roof within the 5' of any setback, new codes require them to be 1 hour fire rated.
  20. I have never used the cad detail method, ever but also not sure why, but there is a reason out there, somewhere.
  21. I also use the layers to generate my plot plans, why?, b/c I want everything live meaning, change the floor plan and everything else changes automatically and I can also show the complete roof plan on the plot plan, using reference sets. Live is the key for me, b/c it just save time. Using a template plan and layout and live drawings, I just open them and start drawing and everything else generates automatically as you design. No cad for me, except for details, of course.
