I didn't look at everything in the plan, just the task at hand. I noticed other things but didn't address any of that.

A box over a box isn't the prettiest thing on the block but if that's all the client can afford, so be it. maybe offset the 1st and second floor might help it a little. there are other things you can do if the budget is there.

I looked at the plan and it took me 5 min. to fix, their were several things, like you had all your walls marked to hang off stem wall but you have a mono slab. Those walls should be marked balloon above ceiling b/c they are block walls. You also had headers checked for openings when they should not have wood headers, you will need to detail the steel reinforcement for those. A few other things. Your file size of 70mb was suspicious. I removed the furniture and wood headers and got it down to 30mb. now it works better fixed plan.zip

This is something we have tried to get chief to fix for a long time now, p-solid drawn in section elevation view is what I have been doing for those little triangle area, but you won't get any framing using that method. You can also use a wall adjusted but you might have to dw patch the bottom of the wall.

Or just make all the exterior wall "balloon thru ceiling" in the wall DBX. also make sure that Default top of wall is checked

You didn't show your "locate objects" tap, that's what it's all about -
or just use the "Click stairs" tool
-
I always use the section elevation views or a wall elevation view if you don't want to see the whole building, but never any perspective view b/c you are looking at an angle
-
No, but what I do is just put one in from the fireplace lib., then go to superior and copy some info from the specs at their site
-
The blurry views are intended to speed up the program, when you print, it will print at a higher resolution.
-
Not having the problem. What video card do you have and is it using the latest updates?
-
I also see this but It seems to print ok, not sure why. also when you zoom in it looks ok.

I always save to 3 places, just in case Moses parts the Pacific ocean

Also small payments if you want

I always keep the "data" files for each version when deleting an older version ,b/c your lib. just might be using an older version for some of your user lib. items. I noticed this when I recently got a new computer. Also some people here teach Chief and need to keep older versions for that.

Yes I would have gotten one of those, but they just came out shortly after I got mine -
Can't do it using Ray-tracing. in Chief

Go to preferences / reset options/ reset toolbars. for the color problem, you might have checked the color off button by mistake, just turn it back on. It's on a toolbar
-
try using the Auto story pole tool if You need floor heights and roof heights, not sure what type of dims you need

The simple fact is, just get the best gaming machine you can afford. -
I print in color using "color off is grayscale". That way everyone gets it in color and your printer can print in grayscale. I can also check my colors and see what shade of grayscale that color will print as.

Ben, X8 had some major layout revisions because of the live views

if you print in Grayscale, like I always do, you have to keep your colors on the dark side or they will print too light.
