Plants Not Showing In Elevations Sent To Layout - Latest Update?
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
Are you using a template layout from the "profile layout" in X8 ? There could be a difference as spoken from Chief themselves. I had to recreate them myself when X8 arrived. No bringing forward this time around. -
It is mapped to f-10 on a pc.

I don't think Chief was developed to design Concert venue's even though I'm sure someone could do it. I would use some other program that does commercial better.
-
A music venue can be square can't it
-
I though he was talking section view and a garage would most likely have parallel sides
-
Isn't that what a ramp is? Ramps are not parallel.
-
Yes
-
remove the floor in the room DBX and use a ramp as the floor. Not exactly sure what your condition is though.

You can just set up a room finish schedule to show that. you can set up a lot of other things in it, like square footage, and it will total it automatically.

Who is using Windows 10 with X8? Happy with it?
DRAWZILLA replied to vikiw_bend's topic in General Q & A
What power supply do you have ,how many watts? Sounds like a heat problem in your computer, Make sure the fans are running and clean your fans and vacuum it out. It also could be a power supply is failing. Or your power supply is too little for your equip. you are trying to run. Just guessing- 28 replies

You can also just use a bearing line as a separator.

put a roof on it? -
I always start a job using the proposed plan and when I'm done drawing the existing, I do a save as existing plan ,from the proposed plan. Then you never have to re-send or rename anything. You just keep drawing the proposed and it keeps generating to the layout. I would just send the existing plan to its page

You may have to raise or lower the roof planes, if not set to "auto rebuild roof planes.

Power Users Preventing Needed Changes in Chief
DRAWZILLA replied to KevinWaldron's topic in General Q & A
While all this talk goes on, what I want to know is "Any hints on X9". I starting to get very crazy wondering. Please, oh, and I'm not having any problems with Chief. What some people call workarounds, I call knowing how the program works. I know there are some things that need a little TLC and I'm sure Chief will fix it on their schedule, so I don't worry about it. Just bring on X9, I have never been disappointed yet.
