After all these years, I'm trying to figure it out myself, but it does make a great difference if you want it. You can have bumb maps for just about everything in the plan.

Try turning off Hardware edge smoothing for that card. Worked in the past for older systems

A bump map for the grass makes all the difference

I've done it, and have all my old stuff on the data drive ,without any problems, but I also move on to the latest /Chief version when I can and really don't use the older versions anymore. I keep 2 current versions of Chief and everything that goes along with them, on my ssd drive. Everything else is on the data drive. I don't keep old versions of Chief ,just all the old data. I like to keep current. If I need to resurrect an old plan, I just open it in the latest version save and repair as needed. I wouldn't want to go back and draw anything anyway, the new tools would save you more time anyway.

Yes, Larry's got it

Help Modeling this Window in a Thick Wall
DRAWZILLA replied to SchnieppDesign's topic in General Q & A
Create a new 13" thick wall and just add your windows. You can use a custom casing to do that, or just fake it and show a special detail for the windows. -
for that kind of building, you have to make your own template.

Do a regular footing first then select it and change. -

See if NVidia has an updated driver, sometimes they ship with an old driver.

You can also use the lib. filter to just show what you want.

Informational websites and info.
DRAWZILLA replied to dssharp's topic in Industry & Design Resources
Just checked the building cost for a very simple home using the last one you put up and boy was it off, plans alone were thousands off for Anaheim California, wouldn't trust it here. -
Looks to me like the baseline might be a hair off
-
They are really not crappy we just call them crappy b/ it only took us 3 min to ray-trace and look pretty good, don't need any outside program. And if I want to put them here so be it, it's not your thread. Are you afraid you might lose some business b/c Chief getting is so good.
-
I just don't like using outside programs, but then again perfect renders are not that important to me or my clients, they love the crappy ones and just don't know they could have better but I'd have to charge them more.

Sometimes that solution doesn't work and you then need to use a pony wall

I only load the manufacturer catalog's I need, but I do have most of the bonus catalog's
-
yep, that works also but create a new material first so you don't change the original concrete unless you want that.
