  1. You can also just lay a p-line mask over the existing or any part of the elevation you want, use a solid white fill and use the transparency setting to get what you want also. Print in grayscale
  2. I agree it is possible to get what you want if you take the time to set it up in your template plan
  3. I have been doing this for 30 years, you build up you floor in the floor DBX and it will build it anywhere you have a second floor area but you have no control over the direction of the existing ceiling joists, just fix it in each section. If you have larger and smaller heights, then just adjust the space between top of ceiling joists and the bottom of the floor joists.
  4. You will also need to do the railing manually adding the volute. here is one volute.calibz
  5. Just laughed my guts out, oops clean up on isle 9
  6. Call ATT and tell them you are switching to another service and you will get your deal back.
  7. Who knows what happened, but glad it fixed itself.
  8. It could be the virtual slab acting up. Slabs are made from rooms, until you build a slab you get a virtual one. Just maybe for some reason your plans virtual slabs might be hanging around. Turn off auto slabs and try manually using the slab footing walls to create your foundation. I call my slab rooms, existing slab or new slab, and use the "Slab" reference in the room DBX.
  9. Yes you did, you were out of the box before Jack was.
  10. Round Stair railings, bad symbols from Sketchup, etc. can cause slowdowns, Post the plan and see if we also experience the slowdown.
  11. I move the old Data files to the "d" drive after I go to a new version. I do try to keep at least 2 versions on the main ssd drive though.
  12. Sorry, I wouldn't mess around with that, Chief like to put it where they want it ,,for some reason, and I can't find a way just to move that folder, but you might be able to move the whole" my Data folder" which moves everything. Haven't tried that so be careful. It also in preferences --folder location.
  13. Mono slabs on level 0 and forget about automatic slabs, just a starting point for me, at some point along the way you just need to turn them off and manually adjust from there or you will be spending all day trying to get it to work.
  14. Larry, what are your floor defaults set at? Sometimes the floor defaults will be at -4 so when you rebuild it will be at that level. for mono slabs I also must check both boxes. as far as I know both boxes must be checked to work for a mono slab. I always put foundations on level 0
  15. Sometimes hitting f-12 will re-build those walls
  16. I do agree with Larry, that sometimes the slab floors will move 4" down, but not sure why, I play around and fix it usually by checking the room settings.
  17. Always print to scale and never fit to page.
  18. I have no problems with syncing anything on a pc. I also have an ipad.
  19. Just pick one from the James Hardie catalog and change the color. If the spacing isn't right change the texture size and the pattern size.
  20. Alienware is owned by dell now, great gaming machines.
  21. Or just click on the edit toolbar to switch the open side.
