Adding stucco hatch pattern to elevation drawing
DRAWZILLA replied to capitaldesigns's topic in General Q & A
Be aware though, that if you butt that texture up against a standard stucco texture, it will leave a line in your elevations b/c they are different.- 13 replies

How to model this lintel and sill... note the casing
DRAWZILLA replied to dshall's topic in General Q & A
What I'm trying to say is, he can use a molding profile in the window DBX for the fake planter box, then it's automatic. -

The lintel is automatic in the window settings looks like the sill (not a real sill) is a mantle from the lib. But not automatic. EDit it can be automatic if you use a molding profile -
Need help finishing remodel plans for city of tustin, ca
DRAWZILLA replied to Snafu2016's topic in Seeking Services
I'd like to help but , you won't like to pay my fees b/c I would have to re-draw it from scratch. I never use other peoples plans and finish them b/c they just don't draw like I do( too many problems) and it takes more time to fix than it would to just re-draw it. Sorry. I have done more than 250 jobs in your city over the years, codes change all the time. I haven't looked at your plan yet other than what you showed and not saying you didn't do a good job with your method, just figured you didn't want to pay much. And I am not cheap. -
You must have an "HDMI" cable to get 1080p.Not sure about "DVI"

DRAWZILLA replied to Snafu2016's topic in Seeking Services
In Tustin you will need lots of Notes to go along with that, for all the energy codes,Title 24, CFL, LED etc. Would that be in the city or County, big difference. Also you will need the California Green code references on the plan. You may also need calculations from an engineer, unless the city is nice to you. Also you will need a waste and recycle plan, Check their website. -
I have 2 40" TV's, as long as you can get 1080p, it's great, no eye strain with those
-
nope you have to check them to fix. It's lost them for many versions now
-
I think he needs to change that picture, can't argue with that one.
-
Right now just open them up and check auto width and height to fix it. For some reason it loses those checkmarks.

Thanks Scott, that was the best comeback. I have one just like that--no hair, we need a cute contest.

How to get rid of the room lines showing through in 3D views?
DRAWZILLA replied to GeneDavis's topic in General Q & A
The walls really should align and must be the exact same wall, Check the alignment and thickness sometimes those lines will be eliminated by making the lower wall balloon through the floor/ ceiling above. Also if you are using a different texture/ thickness between upper and lower walls, you will also get that line. Keep you elevations live, for me that works better, especially with changes. I never go to cad details for elevations, ever. -

If you don't want some walls to get dimensioned, set the(railing) or any wall to -no locate. You can also set the "dimension to" in the wall DBX. Turn on angle snaps for straight joists. Create the joists inside and drag it outside for it to stick but only after you are done Auto. framing, or do it with p-solids. What version are you using, it makes a difference.

Glad someone still has those, I wouldn't go back if you paid me to.

version 10 is so old ,I have forgotten how to do anything, sorry. Not sure what you are talking about also. I deleted 10 years ago.

Just try running it with the cover off and see if it shuts off-then go from there
-
I think it overheating, did a fan go out? Try taking the cover off and run it for a while. if it's a laptop clean and vacuum the inside and vent holes.
