  1. I don't see that in my models, not sure what is going on though without a plan ok now I see you have posted the plan, thanks. I'll look at it in a bit.
  2. Something is wrong with your model, post the plan so we can see what's wrong.
  3. I believe the fuzziness is intended, until you print it, then it should be sharp. Reason being ,keep the resolution low until you need it , Chief will run faster that way. Also make you image full size on the screen before you send it. Also don't send as an image the layout, send as current screen. Try to print as "PDF" and see if that helps.
  4. I never take the time to do that b/c no one sees it. I simply handle that with a cad detail of the California tie in.
  5. yes I have installed the update
  6. It works on my windows 10 system
  7. Joe's macro's are more involved and much more info, and more Automatic without having to place any p-lines. Some people just can't get their head around that.
  8. Are both walls aligned to the main exterior layer in the wall DBX?
  9. I wonder if having always update and the layout open would cover the opening of the each elevation and section. Haven't tried it .
  10. Here is a video I did earlier this year, about it not working http://www.screencast.com/t/UMDYTnLkOP
  11. I never use the floor camera either, don't know why, just don't. I do use the wall camera a lot.
  12. Just back that room divider wall up, with the "edit wall layer intersection" tool.
  13. I actually use a reference set to show all the walls in a very light gray color on the foundation plan, very handy and easy to add new footings where needed.
  14. You know a couple versions back we used to be able to drag just the footing to make it wider and longer but for some reason it's gone now, what happened? You could make conc. pads etc. just by reshaping the footing.
  15. A lot of the lines ,but not all, you see will go away when printed to pdf, just look bad when viewing a plan. Try technical illustration for your elevations, that might help a bit. I don't get very many extra lines these days. There is usually something you have done that causes it.
  16. That is just looking for someone to sue you, I would never do that.
  17. Check you color levels, in the printer. Looks like you are out or low on one color, maybe black
  18. I hate that, it happens to all of us, we just have to keep plugging along to get it done, you can always charge them extra if its there fault.
  19. You can also just lay a p-line mask over the existing or any part of the elevation you want, use a solid white fill and use the transparency setting to get what you want also. Print in grayscale
  20. I agree it is possible to get what you want if you take the time to set it up in your template plan
  21. I have been doing this for 30 years, you build up you floor in the floor DBX and it will build it anywhere you have a second floor area but you have no control over the direction of the existing ceiling joists, just fix it in each section. If you have larger and smaller heights, then just adjust the space between top of ceiling joists and the bottom of the floor joists.
  22. You will also need to do the railing manually adding the volute. here is one volute.calibz
