Separate Schedules For Each Unit Of A Multi Apartment Bldg.

Perry: that works if each apt is a separate building if all the apts are in the same building then ??? Lew -

Kbird: depends on whether it is Chief interiors or HD Interiors the name Interiors 2015 suggests it is HD CA likes to make things confusing .... Lew
-
there should be a setting in Preferences to reset it Lew
-
Perry: I gave up trying to stay current with everything CA has available they have made the process too difficult having to do one-by-one is tedious having to verify all have been downloaded is tedious having to check if there is anything new or updated is tedious never knowing if the counts are correct is tedious being "retired" I don't need to deal with tedious Lew
-
Joe: you should probably contact CA's tech support on Monday its possible you may need to re-install but I wouldn't rush to do it without consulting first Lew
-
Larry: many times just pressing F12 can clean things up I hit it often when making changes, especially structural ones but sometimes a good slap upside the head via a shutdown of chief or even rebooting the PC is necessary Lew
-
Hmmm. all depends on your needs.... I would say 4 GB is too light - 8 GB minimum is much better 500W power supply is light - 800W is much better even if it runs ok now - think of the future each new release of chief puts higher and higher demands on the PC no comment on CPU or video card except the following get the fastest and most cores you can afford dual cores are fairly out-dated these days - consider quad-core the "minimum" get the fastest gaming video card you can afford with minimum of 1 GB of video ram card should have the ability to add more ram as needed Lew

How Much Does A Graphics Card Affect 3D Work
lbuttery replied to JonathanJanacek's topic in General Q & A
why laptop? Joe: as Jonathan said above "but when I'm sitting in front of a client making my changes, I need quick responses from the software" Lew -
Hi: probably best to post the plan otherwise only quesses can be offered Lew

I started a thread in the Suggestion section I don't understand why CA isn't doing anything about this Lew

Kbird: If a second license is sold to a buyer as a second license I think the fee Is $50 - same as primary to primary the extra fee comes when changing a secondary license to a primary license if the license being sold is an older version then the license also needs to be upgraded to the current version CA's website covers most of this - but probably best to discuss with Customer service Lew

Once we catch all the newbies, we will stop setting out the traps. Sorry, bad joke, I couldn't resist Doug: that was a good one Lew
-
Chief also has some silly block for temp dims if you already have auto or manual dims in place very annoying Lew
-
Chad: SSA renewal is $445 for a primary license (less for a secondary license) there is also a fee for transferring a license for a primary license it is $50 for a secondary license it can be much more - probably $400 or more so the cost to the buyer all depends on if it will be a primary license for them or a secondary license for them Lew
-
Odd place for it, I guess they couldn't find an appropriate place Hmmm, what about Hardscape ??? another one of Chief's mysteries Lew
-
For lower floors (actually I do this for all floors) just add layers to the Ceiling Finish Hmmm.... This seems very counter-intuitive as evidenced by this thread When is CA going to stop creating these "foibles" and newbie-traps Lew
-
Hmmm, I wonder why they aren't included in the ML perhaps if you gave them a clear or invisible paint then maybe the paint would show in the ML ??? Lew
-
The only way that I know of to eliminate this is to start a new Plan Hopefully, some fine day - CA will eliminate this type of BS in the code anything and everything that can be created by a user should under the total control of the user it is all these "foibles" that can drive a user to "drink" or say bad words about Chief Lew

Greg: not sure... create a quick plan with only drives and walks and see Lew
