  1. I think you got caught when things were re-framed. In your Plan file turn off "Walls, Labels" in the Wall Detail Layerset. Then in Layout open each Wall Detail Layout Box and under the Label tab select "Specify Label" and it should show up in the text box of the DBX and in your layout view.
  2. Yes I think I remember that issue on one of my previous projects being quite a hassle . You might want to bump this over to the suggestion forum as a reminder to chief that a lot of the new features can not be used effectively without a robust core program.
  3. There is a toggle above the display window for vector, standard , PBR, and Ray Trace. Still no way to make it transparent though. I have the same problem but have not approached it that way. Try the Pattern Material Color and just raise the slider on the right of the Select Color DBX. Let me know if that work for you as I am not quite sure of your approach.
  4. No Sorry but we keep asking. There is a special use material that would be quite useful if you have read any of my postings. It is available at the top of the Plan Materials listing above Use Default for the Cantilever Underside of Decks called "No Material". I would love to use it for stairs and many other automatic features where things can't be deleted.
  5. Make sure you don't have anything else selected with it and you should be fine. Re import if necessary and Transform while still initially selected.
  6. Transform / Replicate Object > Resize, Resize Factor: .5
  7. Not really sure if Joe has posted his library or just talked about it as I can't seem to find it, but here is another to check.
  8. Here is one I participated in but I think there is also another good one with attachments.
  9. @Joe_Carrick posted some of his library symbols for that a while back. Try searching Mission, or Spanish Tile.
  10. Lane, I found the thread from before. Possibly you could submit and add some details to the bug report and it might help get the situation fixed. Even when they can reproduce an issue it seems they need to know it is effecting more than one person.
  11. It may depend on the font and the font size as well.
  12. Beautiful Door Steve. I might be wrong but thought I would at least bump your thread for you. Chief can do a lot of things but this is still a little beyond its automatic features. Chief will be able to provide the wall opening and frame for you but I think you are on your own to provide the door and window symbols. You may even have to trick the software a bit to make it function by using a door and a doorway. Good Luck. Anticipating a great video.

    HOVER

Bob I have not tried "Hover" but would assume importing the .DWG file into Chief would possibly be similar to what you might experience with the data provided by Canvas Structure Sensor. Please keep us informed as to how it goes.
  14. Hello Newell, What happened to the points I gave you. Have you been spending them ? For a room label you must have a room with definition. If you click on the room and it will not highlight look for walls with "No Room Definition" or room dividers that are not connected. McafeeRemodelingNewplan Chopped.zip
  15. Go to Activity > My Active Streams > Content I Started and use some of the search criteria at the top. The same on HOMETALK as Eric just observed.
  16. If you just want the ceiling surface to look flat open the Room DBX ( Dialogue Box ) and go to the Structure tab > Ceiling and Select "Use Soffit Surface For Ceiling" If you want to allow enough space for proper structural rafters make your sub fascia depth the same as the "Vertical Structure Depth" of the roof by checking the Roof Plane Specification DBX under the General tab > Measurements. If that does not work let us know what software version you are using and post your plan file and one of the pros will take a look. Welcome to the Forum.
  17. It would be an interesting test but you very well may be able to do that with a chief roof truss in almost as efficient manner as your method which obviously also worked. The roof plane would also provide an automatic position for the fabric. I assume your roof purlins are p-solids, but they could have an accurate cross section if you used roof lookouts. Round tubing may also be a possibility but a little more involved. Nice job on the truck. Hope you were able to confirm the 20' lift height with some clearance allowed. Would love to see your modeling skills in action if you feel like recording a video next time you have a similar project.
  18. You can place your software information in your forum signature so that it is easier for others to help with specific information. Also some of your critical computer specifications if you are asking performance type questions.
  19. Give this a try. PWF Foundation Wall.calibz
  20. What software are you using ?
  21. Very nice work. Did you give the trusses a try with Chief's truss tool ? Please do tell the covering story. How is it transparent from the inside but not the outside ?
  22. Sounds like something tech support should know about but would be glad to try printing one of your files if you think that might help.
  23. Does the program shut down or just hang in an unresponsive mode such that you need to shut it down with task manger ?
