  1. If your SSA is up to date it should be in your digital locker otherwise contact the sales department.
  2. What software are you using and do you have a plan file that you have started on ? Maybe draw it out in 2D with a few traditional type sections with the details and one of the experts will try to help out. Welcome to ChiefTalk
  3. It sounds like you are looking at the windows save dialogue. You can save the file with the same name as your plan file as long as you use the .dae extension or choose another name or add a prefix or suffix so you have things organized the way you like.
  4. What you are exporting is the 3D content displayed in the camera view.
  5. If someone else profits from the use of a pirated or gifted version of the software or even saves some money by designing their own home it just drives profitability down for each of us and will eventually result in higher software prices or fewer updates and new features. It seems like a nice thing to do but there are reasons for not doing it.
  6. Maybe run Plan Check in X10 and see if there are any potential issues before importing to X11. Maybe check with tech support in the morning ? If your SSA is up to date get the beta version of X12 as soon as it is released and try that in case there is a bug with X11 that has been worked out. Anything that you recall being different about that particular plan file ? If you are out of ideas you can always post the plan file and maybe it will load on someone else's hardware configuration.
  7. Any issues opening and working in X10 ?
  8. Sorry we missed your edited post but at least you got the satisfaction of fixing it yourself. Thanks for showing us your solution and result.
  9. You might try saving the images to the layout file or printing from the PDF.
  10. You may want to raise it just that little bit but you can also break the edge of the roof polyline and reshape it or use the join roof planes tool and it may work automatically.
  11. As a test use the Chief Architect Save As PDF and try printing from the PDF. This also gives you a better idea of what to expect from your printer.
  12. Ask for the Plan and Layout files. .plan & .layout Preferably get the backup version with all textures etc. included. Or you are in for a lot of extra work.
  13. I haven’t tried that, but I’m trying to now and not sure how to make the top view transparent...please help! I like the idea of it! I am pretty sure I have seen it done with a line drawing on top of standard view but it is not an option in Chief as Jintu has shown with the Watercolor technique. Here is a quickly done proof of concept that needs a photo editor to produce the transparent line drawing so that it can be layered unfortunately. Pretty sure I submitted a feature request for this a while back. + = Just that one step nicer than Vector View but not dreamy like Watercolor.
  14. You may be able to flip through Michael's history and see if there is a thread with some postings on the same date as this video.
  15. Have you tried sending more than one view to layout and overlaying them ?
  16. I was thinking HDMI to monitor 1 and then daisy chain with display port cable to monitor 2 but it also depends on your video card capabilities.
  17. Do your monitors have display port capabilities ? Usually there is an in and out if they do.
  18. Use the Standard area calculation for each room and " Exclude from Total Living Area Calculation " the Shop and each room label will read 1800 and your Living area total will read 1800.
  19. Why not make a text schedule of exactly what you need and then if it is something you find you will be using all the time then you can invest in having someone automate it for you. Then you will have the example of what is required.
  20. Is your slab a room ? Or could it be temporarily defined as one ?
  21. The face appears to be a wall with a doorway. Likely a combination of Wall material regions and custom materials would be the best approach.
  22. Is this what you are after Ryan ? Just the roof plane label and no tally or schedule required ?
