  1. So are we talking about X11 or X12 because your screen shot shows the label set to "Specify" Maybe post your plan file or a test plan showing the same behaviour.
  2. In Plan View. Walls, Labels layer that is really odd.
  3. Are your wall labels turned on ?
  4. Wall Labels with or without a macro would work fine for that.
  5. Forget it. I figured it out. You outsmarted yourself. Because you oriented the grain in the symbol you can use the regular material for all the framing members. Maybe we could both be brain surgeons.
  6. The symbol is a bit like brain surgery. Could you put the original in a test plan ?
  7. Any chance you are looking at the back of the symbol or maybe the two materials are reversed ? If the X shows on both sides of the door you may need to do both sides independently or even use exploded solids if you want the edge grain to be correct as well.
  8. Ouch... The X can be 2 or 3 pcs. but the symbol needs to be constructed with independent materials for the opposing directions.
  9. ALDO is a very powerful tool. Please be sure to fill out your signature when you have a moment so we can give version specific help when it is required.
  10. Create layers for your new construction and make sure they are marked to report to the material list and the others are not. You can do all this in ALDO (Active Layer Display Options) with the Materials Column set to display.
  11. Yes it needs to be the full link and can not be shortened. That is why I don't like using it for the 60+ character links to the 3D viewer. It could so easily be a feature of Chief Architect Save as PDF but currently it seems to have nothing to do with it.
  12. Likely just a formatting issue Joe. Give this one a try... Rich Text printed with Chief Architect Save As PDF. Rich Text Hyperlink.pdf
  13. Sorry I think Rob had a better understanding of the question. I often use red or yellow when working over an image and find that works well for most imagery.
  14. Yes you can import a transparent .png image but it should not be an issue to move your topo and property lines up a layer to be on top especially with X11 ? I believe image files always default to the base layer.
  15. I am not so sure it actually has anything to do with chief at all. I think Adobe and possibly others will recognize the formatting of a proper hyperlink in any text and maintain it.
  16. A text hyperlink will work, but Rob is correct about buttons and images as they need to be compiled with a third party program.
  17. Try, C:\ProgramData\Chief Architect Premier X10\Referenced Files\CoreCatalogFiles.zip
  18. Yes you are on the right track. Make the panels the right size for the job if you have somewhat consistent spacing or make a single that is centered in the 5" rail or maybe a little less depending on code and spindle size. This will give a half space at the newel but should otherwise work fine and fill the space.
  19. If you create a Millwork Symbol like this it can be applied to a CA railing as a Panel to achieve the results shown above.
  20. Your welcome. When you have a minute fill out your signature with your current version of chief and some critical computer specifications so we can give specific info when required.
  21. 3D uses the Texture settings. Change the Angle: by 90°
  22. Technically one student per evening should be able to take the licence home with them but it would be best to check with sales to see it the student version allows this.
  23. Here are a few tips from Michael on how it can be done accurately.
  24. You can send it to two or three separate pages and crop it with the layout box. Send it again and crop the Title and column headings if you like.
