  1. Very nice Michael, The new warning lets you know there is an issue but is not very helpful in resolving it. I had not seen that one before. I got 279,418,127,752.893 Miles and 3 Inches but I will give it to you this time. I think that breaks my record as I did not quite make it to the Moon.
  2. It appears you would need a cricket to have any chance of that draining ?
  3. That would be cool, but no I don't think so. Mind the "gap" in vector views.
  4. Like plumb cut rafters possibly ?
  5. You may be able to use a ramp if you can avoid showing it in Vector view. Otherwise build it manually or use a roof plane to generate the framing and an elevated lookout can be multi copied for the decking.
  6. Kevin, I was able to get the roof labels to show by setting them to "Show in this View" and then sending to layout again which seems neither of those two actions should be necessary. No luck with the shadows though. Maybe a sun angle thing. I would send both items to tech support unless you get a good answer before tomorrow.
  7. Kevin, you are limiting how many people will download and look at your plan file by posting .rar rather than .zip which more people know what to do with. However your second screen shot appears to be plot lines and I am not sure they support shadows.
  8. Any chance it was not docked on the right with ALDO and the Project Browser last time you used chief ?
  9. You can turn off the Walls, Invisible layer or use a white or blank line style for the room divider walls.
  10. Did you try to scale the existing texture or do you need perfect grout lines ?
  11. I thought so as well but it does not seem to matter. Give it a try.
  12. Check these out and let us know if you have further questions. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-02944/defining-a-new-wall-type.html https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/5454/creating-a-new-wall-type-with-a-new-material.html?playlist=85
  13. Sure just open each type and edit it or group select and change to a new type to preserve the original definition.
  14. If keeping the model correct is not an issue you can change your wall definition and just include an interior layer of " Opening (no material)". I an not sure how Blender will see that though, possibly still 3 materials. Another reason to have general access to "No Material". Or maybe even better would be to have only a middle layer of framing and don't frame your walls or turn off the layer before exporting.
  15. In theory YES, but how did it get that way...
  16. That is really odd Rob, I also can't reproduce. Can you remember anything special you did ? Or maybe clip the cabinet out of the plan and post that for us.
  17. Does Google earth have data for the area you need ? The only useful thing I could think of in Chief would be to use it as a material on an almost flat terrain perimeter for your overhead view as I have done with some higher altitude areal images.
  18. On way you may be able to beat the system with this issue is that once a material has been added to Plan Materials I believe that it keeps it's assigned number. I have not thoroughly tested this so it is just a theory at this point but I think it might be worth trying. So once you have a comprehensively organized Plan Material listing your required edits may be minimized. Let us know if this works for multiple projects as it sounds like you are doing quite a few.
  19. @DavidJPotter would be the one to ask.
  20. Sorry there is no known way to get chief to keep these organized and I believe they are numbered in the order they are use in the plan file so each plan file will be different. You can however edit the .dae file but it is a lot of work and needs to be totally redone for each little revision. Exporting to other programs creates the same and sometimes larger problems so unless someone gives a better answer than I did, please proceed to the suggestion forum.
  21. I think chief has slightly better grass than that. Have you tried any of these ? https://www.chiefarchitect.com/3d-library/index.php?r=site/detail/1058 You can also create your own seamless textures or get them from other sources.
