  2. I did not zoom in, you are correct on fascia being straight.
  3. Only way to accomplish that is to have straight exterior walls or make your overhang large enough to cover the offset in the exterior wall. POST THE PLAN
  4. Alan is correct too, I do the plan file method also. Details can be notes & disclaimers saved as cad details, or custom wall sections like for pole barns are detailed in a plan file and used on multiple plans. I have over 200 plan files for pole barn walls cross sections and details. Many ways to get info to layout.
  5. MarkMc and Chopsaw both good ideas and another job well done by qualified Union Labor, lmbo.
  6. Details can be put on layers, control placement and location with layer.
  7. Read this https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?/topic/10564-reverse-plan-and-rotate-plan/
  8. David wanted to know why his plan will not react to default settings, yes plan can be changed manually. BUT if defaults are changed, the rebuilt foundation should be new settings. David's plan does NOT, therefore it's a corrupt file or ????? David you should be able to do what your trying to do and I'm sure you have tested it on a new plan file and discovered defaults stick when changed.
  9. Your default settings are written in STONE. That 40 5/8" foundation setting is a ghost, only way to change is manually and that is not right. If no one solves it, send it to tech.
  10. Use "reply to this topic" button at top of page. When dbx opens you will notice an "Attach" button. You must post plan if you want a diagnosis. Plan must be CLOSED and "zip it" if too large
  11. Downloaded plan and opened it up. As DJP said "it's all there".
  12. In framing dbx use joist direction tool and bearing line tool
  13. I have it up and running on my old HP desk top.
  14. Old plan file that has a few ramp details. Look in CAD detail management. ada diagrams.plan
  15. Raising garage height at car lift only will still result in same 2nd floor height and create framing issue that will require bearing support either with beams or walls. Sorry I deleted your custom car lift, . Tell me what you want and I will fix it.
  16. A "Dutch Gabel" wall doesn't line up with exterior wall of structure, OP pic shows gabel wall and structure wall share same plane and his plan pic shows same. So if it's not a true "Dutch Gabel" use auto roof return.
  17. Fixed stairway, 2nd story wall, lowered garage floor 34", added car lift, put roof saddle between roofs. Edited : garage ceiling h. was not correct. McMartin 2016 mine.zip
  18. "Shift" select multiple texts and you can "edit" all selected text items.
