Can you open new layout and get same results? Have you reboot computer? I have had that problem on a plan file but it was because I had rotated plan. Good luck

Also it is very finicky to get center line to show up, try at very bottom of your page and move mouse slowly.

Use "center object" tool works very well

Everything is set up in default settings. If only one or 2 things need size changes it's not worth changing defaults. IMO CA had too many areas to change default settings.

unzip file/open it CA/group select entire view/ change color to black but this will be only cad lines/to change text takes a little more time. DWG file.plan

OP's roof plan was not complete and not buildable as designed. So getting roof plan in order is foremost, not only roof design but set up of : truss specs (chord sizes and raise-lower ect..... ) / roof structure tab. The more accurate your 3d model is the better the truss design. Jeff's advice is accurate and very important.

I took out trusses over great room / removed ceilings and added 2 custom ceiling planes. KRAWCYZK mine.plan

Watch Video #354. Basically what I did was delete your roof over structure / went to 1st floor and did manual roof planes / then went to 2nd floor and created room for attic truss area / uncheck "attic" on gabel walls / make sure attic rooms and storage room have same floor structure settings / you can see all this on plan I uploaded.

I was not sure on your 2nd story, I assumed only attic truss was 2nd story because of stairway location. Reverse gabels and dormers need to be addressed now and these will be framed on top of truss with girder trusses bearing weight of roof opening. KRAWCYZK mine.plan

Ver 10 stores archives in same file folder as the plan file. So go to windows explorer/find plan file folder and in folder "plan file name_archive" you will find older versions of your file and the cad detail should still be there

Chopsaw I wanted to know the method Mark (OP) changed gabel roof plane from straight to arched. Yes I tried Michaels' suggestion on making fascia appear in 3d views and yes it works. Another great tip from Michael.

Select dimension / find point you want to delete / grab it with mouse and drag it away from location and it will go away.

Obviously ChopSaw. What was method used to change from straight gabel fascia to curved gabel fascia?

IMO you will end up doing both. You have the concept and no 2 projects are alike so it's "learn as you go" show.

What was your method to arch or curve gabel fascia?
