Some on this forum say "Chief is a residential" software not for commercial. It might not be the ultimate software for a 30 story skyscraper but 80% of my work is COMMERCIAL. I guess a better description would be "Light" commercial. Many structure over 20,000 sq. ft. and I just finished a 5,000 sq. ft restaurant (and I have at least a dozen other restaurant) in inventory. I was doing this type of work with C.A. since ver 9 and 10. Strip malls, vet clinics, multiple pharmacies, Auto repair centers, Yamaha dealership, tool & die shops, Ag buildings, gas stations, quick oil change are just a few of what it can do and if any want files of these projects pm me and I will share.

Alex your door #1 in the new schedule after deleting problem schedule is the pocket door. When you renumber it changes all door number sequence.

Give Yoda a point Alex.

Renumber a schedule by selecting and hitting icon I circled. As for phantom window, I deleted schedule and opened a nw one and bad window went away.

Closet wall on other side was causing your truss issue. I had to delete it and "Force Truss Rebuild" on each truss to clean it up Hightower.plan

Go to 2nd floor an select wall, click on icon I circled to re-frame wall and it will settle down, lol.

I looked at your plan Bob and your porch roof is not 3/12 pitch nor does not auto build roofs. OP wanted 3/12

I always liked the download count on attached files, sorry if already discussed.

You had 2 sets of 2nd story walls, I deleted all 2nd story walls and found another under it that you had made "No Locate" and "No Room Definition" in the wall dbx, I unchecked those in each wall and now put your windows back in and all is well. Or just pull back a 2nd story wall from a corner and you will see the bad wall below, delete it and close corner back up, do this for each wall, then windows stay. 2.plan

Auto roof build in this plan file. Dudleys - auto build roofs.plan

Take a look and I did this all manually in about 5 minutes. If you want auto build follow Glen's ( post #7 ) instructions. Dudleys 16x34 Ranch 1114168ft porchtest.plan

No matter how you do it there will be work cleaning up items, elevations or text or dimensions or ??? but it's better than a re-draw.

Manually adjusted interior walls, no room def on walls, used landing for horizontal deck but can not frame it and if you move landing interior wall gets covered and won't show in 3d overview. -

I have no "Auto" anything set in CA, on demand for layout. -
Try this, place 1 truss, open truss dbx/select "Lock truss envelope"/open up truss detail and modify truss to your liking and truss should maintain your shape. If that doesn't work, pull house roof plane out of way and draw truss and then lock envelope and it will stay. POST PLAN
