Mick my setup is 3 the 27" has Chief on it with my lib moved over onto the 24" and they when needed for clients I take the samsung tv and move it from hdmi 1 to hdmi 2 this is how I get the duplicted screen of the 27" monitor if that makes sense
-
Ill have to check to see if it has a pc mode, know where is the paperwork for his mum
-
M. my main monitor is where I have the floor plan on and it is duplicated to the larger samsung and that is where it doesn't look good just hard to see not fuzzy lines that I can see
-
Joe what resolution do you have the 55" set at, I have a samsung 40" have no trouble with elevation view but floor plans suck on it when showing to clients

Another suggestion is select the hip on the front right side, copy in place and refelx about the the center of the ridge center point or don't show the rafters and just the roof plane front roof plan and reflex about the center ridge area but first delete the back roof plan if you are going to do it that way much easier working with just the roof plans, if really stuck post the plan and we can help you
-
Diane sometimes I do it and just oneside has the return like yours rather then wasting anymore time I just draw it manually, if you post the plan I will take a look at it, also try to select the opposite wall and select the roof tool and make a gable I have that happen to get it work
-
Try and make your room 6' high and put the pitch you want on it then when doe change you room height to 10' and the roof will keep the 6' wall in place you might have to adjust the pitch go that the rafters don't show a flat clg as it goes up,
-
In plan mode just select the roof plan and change the roof pitch there make sure you check the correct ratio button if you want the fasic's to match up the the 8 pitch
-
Rob I agree working from scatch is better, the only thing I can do with her plans is import them into a cad detail and maybe print them so take the sizes off of but that is it to start the plan in chief, the only time saved would be when I presented them with preliminary plans it would be more like then had invisions and less revisions
-
One question do you have to draw everything over in chief to be able to do what needs to be done on your end, I have a client that did her drawings in autocad and wants me to finish them, they migt save a little since she has the layout done but I have to redraw everyting she did in Chief to accomplish her construction drawings so not a real lot of savings but every little bit helps I guess

You should be golfing instead of doing puzzles, Happy Birthday Mr. D. Scott Hall

Lew what advantage is there of using the hardware lock over deactivating and activating on another machine, I was like you with the hardware lock but since getting use to the other way I use it
-
Steve been using just X10 and have not had any of those problems, might want to contact tech support on that one

I use dropbox all the time with no problems so far and backup to carbonite

Let us know how it works out with dropbox -
on the back wall in the attic once you delete floor 3 select the back gable wall and align with the wall below and the upside down roof will go away, test 2.plan
-
you have to many roofs built over those area's not sure what you are trying to accomplish but you have 3 floors and then the attic looks like you only wanted 2 floors and the attic, as stated go up to the attic area and delete the roof planes in that area

Nice work Anthony

It is also better to do a copy from one program version to the other so you can go back to that version if needed instead of importing
-
I use Bosh so I would think both are good and tested by the users here
-
Look at the http://www.chiefexpertsacademy.com/ and chieftutor.com, a few good sites for learning the program along with Chief video's
-
You need to build another floor and then do as described put you knee walls where you want them and inside of that area make the room 8' and then on each other side I make those area's 1 1/2" high to have an 1 1/2" plate ontop of the Ijsts and in your case with a double plate do the 3"

Mark in your active layer display try unchecking roofs, openings and see if that does it
