do you have open below selected in that area, not sure what you are doing unless you explain more or post the plan to see

make sure you are opening the pl1 under the type column

Emma not sure why this is happening I always copy old files into the most recent version of Chief so I don't loose the previous version and never had this problem I have brought older the 9.5 files forward to add onto a plan I had done previously, maybe someone else will chim in or if you have SSA call them

try to open the PL1 file the pl0 is the basment

Emma copy the whole file in to a chief X9 folder and open it from there

do you have windows stacked on top like a transom but not blocked that would give you 2 numbers also are the numbers the same that would indicate 2 windows sharing the same area if they are different then there is something that is not blocked

If you post the plan you might get better help

your plan did attach ok and looks like up until this point you are doing a nice job, not sure where you are located but I am on the east coast and have been working with clients and the program most of the day so I will have to check it out in the morning if you don't get any further tonight

in your response box you will see below it has a paper clip that says drag files here to attach or choose files, the best thing is to zip the file and put it somewhere you can find it easy in a folder then choose file and it will attach for us to help you

I think I would have to see how your wall layout is for the additional floor which would be your attic so I know where to make the rooms 1 1/2, I'm not as good as Scott for doing video's in fact I don't but maybe if you are nice to him he would do a video on this unless you post the plan or a pdf of the plan so we can see what you have

Where you want your roof to sit make that area clg 1 1/2" then your roof would sit ontop of that floor and your rafters would sit on that 1 1/2" which would be a plate

No troubles with labels here I was working with them all day and with no problem

the last one I did I got the items from 3d warehouse and put them in my user lib in a seperate folder

If you have a copy of the one you sent to the supplier you can select the schedule and drag the window numbers to the position you had them in the one you sent him then resend it to him

Joe you should be able to select your stair tool and draw the second set of steps going up off the landing

Take the last course of cmu block and cut them to size of the height you need to make it work with the sill plate on, a good mason laborer with a k saw wouldn't take them long to cut

Where you mulled it there should be a box to select to un mull it

I also have 2 lic and my son and we keep all our files in dropbox under the clients name I haven't seen a problem or he hasn't said he has and we are not in the same building, he does the structural from his house and I do the drawings from my office, we don't work on the same client at the same time, this is just us others might see things different or call tech support. We both use windows also

A revamping of the stair and railing tool has been asked for many many versions ago, each time I hope for an impoved stair and railing tool with no avail as I useually do maybe XX
