  1. Ok, and this does not require extra members on the plan view. I guess the downside is that you cannot specify a material thickness? While we're at it. Can you help explain this gap?
  2. Works great. I still kept the 3rd floor for auto-framing purposes, but adding divider walls on the 2nd floor and making the space open did the trick. Thanks again.
  3. No worries. Here is the plan with the 3rd floor. test.plan
  4. I believe this article was my guide for the 3rd floor option: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00979/message-you-created-an-object-on-the-attic-floor.html I'm not exactly sure how I create a room in the attic that then allows me to automatically create the framing that creates the floor or 2nd/exterior ceiling for the overhang, since I can't define any rooms in the attic, just walls. I've attached the plan with what I was able to accomplish so far in the attic, but if you could guide me just a little bit further, it would be much appreciated. It could also be that I'm assuming auto-framing will work for this... when it won't. test.plan
  5. That mysterious attic level. Thanks guys.
  6. Ok thanks. I just tried with no change. I've attached the plan here. Please keep in mind that it's only visible when the wall framing layer is on. test.plan
  7. Trying to add some detail to a gable wall by extending it over a custom bay window structure. Ceiling on 2nd floor is ok, and the framing appears to be decent, but I just can't get the underside of the cantilever/boxing to cover. I've tried many tutorials on cantilevers, but it doesn't seem to apply to this scenario when automating the build. Is this possible, or do I just need to manually create the area? This current version was accomplished by creating a 3rd floor, and adding a new gable end wall. I also increased the overhang length. Thank you.
  8. Hello, new to the forum and product in general. Trying to build some test structures to get familiar. I have a strange issue with one of the gable walls. The framing wants to continue upward through the roof in a mirrored pattern. If I hide wall framing, it doesn't show, but I'm wondering if it's a problem somewhere else in the building that's causing this. It's all created with automatic framing enabled. When I try to remove it, I get the warning about changing auto-generated members. It also doesn't show on the wall detail. Any ideas? Thank you.
