  1. Would probably do something like this just make left side 2 story with matching roof
  2. Angela, Select roof plane that you want to cut a hole in and select Create Hole tool at the bottom and make a hole in the roof where you want it and you can shape that hole any which way you want.
  3. Thanks Mark! I will do that next time. The way I was doing it is making a cad detail of uppers and tracing them with PLine to get the total distance.
  4. Is there a way to calculate cabinet crown molding? Or it has to be done manually...
  5. I'm sorry guys, I must of uploaded wrong file. Here is the right one. Fireplace Exterior Wall Vent.calibz
  6. Anytime Perry!!! Jim, this is not a plan I posted its Calibz file you have to use Import Library and it was done in x8. If you need done in x7 let me know.

  9. Yes, Print To PDF
  10. No problems here also. Check all your exterior walls also, most of them need to be lined up with walls below.
  11. Rob, I put another cabinet on the side, make it 1/4" thick and you will have same size side panels or just a blank area.
  12. Ross, I set this up for you, I couldn't find one molding you used under the crown. There is a copy there just convert that to that molding pline and add that missing molding, after that use point to point and put it in place and use Transform Replicate in wall elevation and move that molding in place. 13. Nothing personal guys,LOL Dennis is right, I was visiting my uncle in LA and pizza sucked... You guys ever in NY drop me a note and I will tell you where to go to get the best pizza. If you in Brooklyn you have to try Juliana’s Pizza http://julianaspizza.com/ Depends when you go there, the waiting time could be 1hr, Most places in NY make good pizza in all 5 Boros, if you can't make pizza, you will close the doors a month later, because there can be 2-3 places every 2 blocks. Have a few friends who own pizza places and you can pull about 10k a week in business. If you like "Old School" Dining, you have to try Belmont Tavern in Jersey, famous place for " shrimp beeps" and no matter what's on the menu (you lucky if they bring you one, if they don't, don't ask for it) the food is the best.(no reservations, they will laugh at you if you try to make one... so not always you will get a table, depends when you go there... get there by 5pm you will get a table(maybe with a little wait) or you will be sharing a table with someone else... by 6pm the line could be around the block) Being there for the first time you will be treated like you lived in the neighborhood for 30 years. Don't ask too many questions and don't piss the waitresses off or make too many requests you will be ignored or if you complain, most likely you will be told "go someplace else if you don't like it". It's an experience
  14. You want 8x8 the narrow section or the widest section?
  15. "Hint" Sheetrock Calculation- Macro Of the Month for it's club members!
  16. Any concealed space with a floor or ceiling assembly above must be have a fire separation if the area exceeds 1000 sq ft. In residential dwelling attics don't need separation. In the basement yes and you also have to do vertical firestopping between the wall and foundation every 10' OC. When it comes to Commercial. In 1 story dwelling it has to be done between roof assemblies and drop ceiling, or if there is an attics, and you got other requirements when dealing with 3 or more stories above. @Ken, around here if it's 5' or less from the property line, you have to have a fire rated wall and soffit assembly, no separation in the attic, but that would also be dependant on jurisdiction.
  17. I never tried doing material calculation, but now that you mentioned, I get the same thing... Just the ceiling
  18. You have to bring them into Sketchup and ungroup them and save as individual components and import them into sketchup one at the time.
  19. Todd, where did you see a roof like this? Are you trying to match existing roof on remodeling or this a new construction and they want it done this way?
  20. If you post a plan it would be much easier to check the issue and compare.
  21. For a deck I max out 2x10 16"OC beam @14' with a 2' joist overhang.
