  1. Yes, I got my email this evening too, not like we all didn't expect it I guess. I thought it might be 2025 though..... M.
  2. Press Alt-Q on your keyboard ( General Wall Defaults) and see if Auto Build Attic Walls is on...... M.
  3. True. and I should of been clearer above ( * will edit) but you might be surprised how many think it is the same message, it's one I've been asked a lot.... M.
  4. since you have X15 , you have free support , so I'd suggest you use it, as this maybe a symptom of another Issue as DB suggested. M.
  5. Correct and there is no fix that I am aware of, the only solution is to group select (various methods) all the Text , > Open > and Click Ok to close the DBX again , which causes them all to "refresh" in the current Plan. M.
  6. The Message appears to be because you are trying to close an UN-saved Plan , note the * asterisk before the File Name on the Plan views Tab, not a deletion? * a similar message can also be triggered by Saved Plan Views, when switching Plan Views, for example if "always save" is also set and if you have changed the Layer Display or have Set to save the Zoom and have zoomed in or out etc.
  7. Additional Licences have always been 65%-75%? or so of the Full Price. ( it seems strange to me that it seems even that might disappear come Dec.29th looking at pic above) As far as I know SSA is no longer available to anyone, and they no longer allow Transfers of License's either (since Nov.29th 2022), so you can't pickup a 2nd hand Additional Licence either anymore, everything is Subscription Only now........either monthly or yearly. You can buy more than 1 year of SSA at a time while times are "good" though if desired, though I think it is restricted to 2 years now. Mick.
  8. I believe the 50% off is actually for Any Existing User Upgrading to the Subscription Model for the 1st year ...... Additional Licenses are $1295/yr ( so subscription based ) at least until Dec.29th .
  9. Chief will accept inputs down to 1/128th" but not all input boxes will show that so it looks like nothing has happened. *I am not 100% sure ALL DBX's/Dims etc will accept 128th of an inch though. M.
  10. I think DB is correct , though I know for a fact Chief will select things that are not visible ie on a layer that is not displayed ( same as it will auto dimension to the same "hidden" objects) does it make a difference if using Marquee Select or Control Click method or intersect / contained as the method? M.
  11. I was wondering what happened to your Dell Desktop....nothing apparently , not good...... It is as Ryan described it, and what a Client of mine did/has for the Company's laptop now He has an assistant, there was no "deal" for the hybrid System but believe the 1st year was 1/2 price as an existing User.... but while it is a major PITB you'd be even unhappier paying that :) , unfortunately gone are the days where you were allowed to install on two devices by most Companies easily. I find it just as easy to login here ( desktop Icon) and go to My Account at the top right and make it "available" before opening on the other device. * the Annual Sale is usually between Xmas and New Year and is in the 10%-20% range depending on the Year. Chief might be one of the Few Companies I deal with that hasn't sent me 10 emails since last week for a Black Friday Sale M.
  12. Those are Callouts , and as far as i know are controlled by the schedule , so any setting is applied to ALL windows , you can not specify different rotations on specific windows ( or side of house) You could Use the LABEL to show the Schedule number though , along with other info such as size and type if desired though, one of My Clients likes it done this way so his Crew doesn't need to refer to the Schedule all the time , but they can if needed look up a particular Window.... Okay , I guess it must be cost effective, I was thinking adding 1/4 ply where needed might be easier.... M.
  13. you might need to post some pics and the plan then as window labels not parallel to the walls is pretty unusual as is Relative not being the default..... * Yes Eric has a good point too.....
  14. It will go green when done right , I think your comma on glenww, means it didn't work above @KnotSquare "Use Room Ceiling" is a Default in the build Roof DBX M.
  15. As Rob mentioned that won't change any Existing Windows in the Plan Labels you will need to group select them and switch them to "relative" too. New windows placed should follow the new Default though. Personally i have not seen 1 1/4" plates used..... M.
  16. Yep, that is the technique I would of used too BITV...... M.
  17. Ah ok, I was thinking of going down to 16 from my 17" Scar in my sig. I didn't actually look but would of assumed they had 18" models too.
  18. As a general rule Terrains should be added on Level 1 and then altered with Regions, Elevation Lines etc up or down as needed..... Mick.
  19. Not that I am aware of , not even in X15, you would need to make your own symbol to show that..... Mick.
  20. Did you checkout the Lenovo 7i Pro line for comparison? I looked yest. and pricing wasn't bad I thought depending on Model, strangely pricing has increase $100-120 today on the 4070-4080 models , so you might want to wait till later tonight or tomorrow to actually buy.... M.
  21. Hi Tim, did you find help? I've sent a PM..... top right of this page
  22. Yes I noticed that and am not sure why and hence the suggestion to send it in as it appeared both roofs were snapped to the wall but displaying differently. do you walls really not have any sheathing? The Upper wall in the pic has a "fascia" or something there too, at least on the right facing the camera. you can play with the thickness of fascia and the overhang so that it will "just" protrude from the wall and it should generate auto..... just be aware that Chief may not measure the Overhang as you or I might on the Site..... Mick.
  23. I am not sure what the inconsistancy is , perhaps send it in for answers but because of the way chief builds roof planes the outer surface of the fascia must be outside the stucco or it will look like it won't generate but it is actually the RP cutting the wall as they are won't to do..... pull the roof plane off the wall 1/2" - 1" and you should see the fascia appear. there are fascias in the Pic above too, if only sheetmetal? painted the same color as the stucco M.
