Regarding the undermount power dock, this symbol was originally designed to mount to the underside of a wall cabinet rather than sit on top of a base cabinet. You can create a copy of this in your user library so that you can then customize it to better suit your needs. Use the Open Symbol tool and on the Options panel change it so that it is Floor Mounted and check the Can Sit on Base Cabinet option. You may also want to adjust the Z Position on the 3D panel so that it will sit slightly above the countertop surface and appear better in camera views. When working in the Open Symbol dialog it is usually helpful to turn on the XYZ origin and the bounding box to see how your changes affect things. And if you ever need to mess with stretch planes, you should always turn on those as well.

Regarding the countertops, you may be doing more work than is needed and giving the program conflicting information which is causing the problems. In most cases, you should not need to manually adjust the height of the countertop unless it is being used for a raised or lowered section. There are two different strategies that generally work pretty well. 1. Leave the base cabinet height at 36" and the "countertop" checkbox turned on. Assuming that your countertop is 1.5", the program will adjust the actual box size to 34.5" to account for the countertop thickness. If you need a custom countertop, then just leave it set to use the base cabinet for it's height and thickness. BTW, one easy way to get a custom counterop is to convert the automatic one into a custom one which works pretty well when you group select all of your island cabinets. It will also match the properties of the default counter tops with respect to how the corners are handled. 2. Set the base cabinet height to 34.5 and turn off the "countertop" checkbox. This will require you to always draw custom countertops. Your manual countertops will not have any kind of corner treatment so you will have to add these manually. In general, I prefer option 1 but I know some users prefer this option for other reasons. If you set up the cabinet defaults appropriately for how you would like to work, then you will have less work in the future.

Two or more callouts almost always means that you have multiple schedules in your plan that each have an entry for the same object. Since schedules can live in plan views, elevation views, or cad details, it can sometimes be a little tricky to find them. A tool that can help with this is the Project Browser that will list all of the schedules you have. If you right click on one, you can use the Find in Project tool to locate where the schedule is or even to just delete it. Another tool that you may find helpful is that if you select a particular row in a schedule, you can use the Find Object in Plan tool to locate where those particular objects are in your plan. You should be able to click on the row for the 5 3/4" tall cabinet and quickly locate it in your plan using this tool.

It looks like those files did not download correctly. The only things I can think of are that the layer is turned off or that you are using an invisible line style. If your layer was off, you should get a message telling you that it is off and asking you if you want to turn it on. If you want anything other than guesses, you should probably post a simple plan that demonstrates the problem. If all else fails, then you should contact our technical support team.

"i looked in the cabinet properties and see mouldings but it places it on the actual countertop (weird). how can i continue the baseboard on the backside bottom of the cabinets?" Did you try unchecking "To Top"?

My guess is that you built a foundation and didn't remove it or update it. You could either manually rebuild it or turn on auto rebuild for the foundation.

Just to clarify some things... What you will need to do depends on whether or not you want to modify the 2D display for plan views versus the size of the actual symbol that appears in camera views, or both. If you want to modify both, then the task is pretty easy. Basically all you need to do is open the electrical object's specification dialog and adjust the size as shown in Larry's picture above. If you want to modify just the 2D cad block or the 3D geometry only, you will need to do this using the open symbol tool. The Symbol Specification dialog allows you to replace either the cad block for 2D display or the 3D geometry used in camera views. You will need to create the cad block or 3d geometry ahead of time to replace them. One way to modify the cad block is to use the Cad Block Management dialog to find the current cad block, use the insert tool to place it into a plan, modify it as needed, reblock it and give it a name you will recognize. You will then be able to choose this block from the Symbol Specification dialog. If this is an electrical object that you plan on reusing, then you should probably save it to the library. If this is an electrical object that you would like to use as a default for your electrical tools (such as an outlet, switch or light), then you should open the Electrical Defaults dialog and assign it as one of the appropriate defaults. It's the invisible attic wall that connects in the middle of one of the windows. It's preventing the windows from mulling together. In the future, you should always report these kinds of issues directly to technical support.

My best guess is because the spacing is not the same. Take a look at the attached picture. When you click on the dimension, the program will show the actual distance between the windows. If the distances are not the same, you will not get the same results.

"I have even opened a project that I did in X11 in X12 and have not changed anything and still get very poor lighting when ray tracing." If you have an X11 plan that does not look the same in X12, then please report this to our technical support team. Please send us the X11 plan, and not one saved in X12, so that we can compare them ourselves. Please include a saved camera in your plan so that we can be sure that we are both looking at the same thing. As far as I know the only thing that has changed is the ability to use lighting sets when raytracing. If you have a saved camera view in X11, it should look the same when opened in X12.

All you need to do is expand the Categories to Include by clicking on the ">" in front of the main category. Actually, all schedules have been modified for X12 so that you can mix and match objects to create your own custom schedules now. Currently, as far as camera views are concerned, stairs are all or nothing. Basically, the stringers are treated as part of the stair and not as framing. If you would like this to work differently, then you need to submit a feature request. In your feature request, you need to be very clear about which components of the stairs, ramps, and landings you want to be handled separately, what new system layers you would like added, how you would like these layers to be treated in plan view, etc.

You can create a cad block with a text object ("2%") and an arrow. Save it in the library Create a distributed path. Choose the cad block. Adjust the spacing as needed.

You probably want to use the Kitchen and Bath Template. The other question is, do you want to always start new plans with the K&B template? Or is this a one off case? If you want to create a new plan using a different template than normal, then just use the New Plan From Template tool as Robert has suggested. If you want all of your new plans to use a different template, then go into Preferences>General>New Plans and setup your template defaults.

This means that the program can't find any plan template files. It is not recommend that you start a new plan without a template. My best guess is that your active dimension default does not match the default that is set for the manual dimension line that was drawn. Select the manual dimension line. Open it for specification. What dimension default is it using? Now open the Default Settings dialog. Go to dimensions. What is your currently active dimension default? If they are not the same, than that is why they look different.

You can't resize individual row heights. You can control the overall row height by making the 2D column smaller. You can also turn off the image scaling if you want a more uniform size. Take a look at the attached picture for an example.
