  1. I agree with Arthur about converting to text. But, you can delete columns. Double click the schedule to bring up the DBX. You have two boxes which show available and used. Move accordingly.
  2. Westworld (or a computer model), Where nothing can go wrong…go wrong…go wrong…
  3. Bob, post that plan and layout via drop box. I know there is a very simple solution that you are not seeing. The best way to get that out so someone can help is to make a folder called Full Back UP or something similar. File - > Back up entire plan, from your layout view
  4. Does throwing them in a CAD detail keep them live? I put them into layout but shrink my layout box to be only the schedules that way I can arrange them in layout to suit. I usually have schedules on multiple pages so it is easy to reference the schedule when viewing in plan or elevations.
  5. What were the steps you took last year that are not working this year? What does the detail you are looking for look like? Can you upload a sketch to illustrate?
  6. This may be way off base but are the schedules on in the roof plan and the layout box is overlapping?
  7. My Building Construction Illustrated is 1st edition. I also have an Architectural Graphic Standards that is 5th edition but that was a hand me down.
  8. How is this information presented? Do you type in a number on a callout on the elevation view? That is how I call it out. That and name my topo lines with a number. Those don't have to be the actual number inside of CA.
  9. I am using x7 for production work and would not turn back.
  10. Good info Arthur. I did not consider that. But, as a standard method of drafting, this makes no sense and the behavior should be that labels show on exterior walls you can see only. I sent in the report but now I think this needs to move to suggestions if that is indeed the case.
  11. P.S. Linterior doors are the ones with fuzz.
  12. See images for oddity with door labels. I don't usually look at elevations with door labels in anything but vector view but this seems to me like it should not be happening. X7 beta. This is vector view as it should be----- This is standard view, the door labels are on interior walls--- GLK ADD V6.zip
  13. Hello Polina, Architecture is a great endeavor. Congratulations on choosing it for your path. There are many resources to learn from. It is great that you have your father as your first teacher. One of my favorite books that I was shown as I started my education is this: http://www.amazon.com/Architecture-Francis-D-K-Ching/dp/0442215355/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8 The author has a lot of great titles beyond this book but this is a great place to start. Regards, Alan
  14. I have a lot of circles that I have on a layer called "Measure Circles" which are light in color and dashed lines. I drag those around where I need to see clearances. You could do something similar. I like the circles because they are easy to size up for various widths.
  15. Insert barking Seal sound here:
  16. It will cost you a lot more to not give away the file. In laws 101.
  17. One of the structural engineers I use has Chief Architect. Are you in California?
  18. Sometimes this is easier with a molding line. But, I like the polyline solid since it is easier to control the ends of the element if it needs to champher or miter in some way.
  19. Auto save is on 5 mins by default for me.
  20. That forced me to finish cleaning and stashing everything in folders. I might start naming all my custom items with a UC for user catalog.
  21. Oops, I just renamed it. It is something like Heirermen sink with drain"
  22. Dimensions tab will show it in inches.
  23. Every once in a while I have to open an older version plan. I look at the layer naming and think the same thing. When I don't see any Anno sets I think someone broke into my car and stole them while I was buying milk.
