image for a texture on a poly solid? https://voomisupply.com/products/mitsubishi-electric-mlz-kx09nl-one-way-ceiling-cassette-indoor-unit?currency=USD&country=US&variant=50290000068914&stkn=5587a5a64bed&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22987583233&gbraid=0AAAAAq0wwOA3Bsz_-o_PbP4TALCY-0XxP&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkrzPBhCqARIsAJN460mkomTIvsLLctFLlYk_DB_7Y65aBt3gXk34gUHlQ_qsJp5Hh4Hmv1oaAhJ1EALw_wcB

What floor are you looking on? The attic wall in that location would be on floor 2

Changing the roof pitch after the roof is built.
Gawdzira replied to GHArchitect's topic in General Q & A
The framing might not be set to auto rebuild after the roof planes changed. You can use this tool to reframe the roof (walls and more) -
Look for an attic wall at that location
-
It is caused by the location of this wall. Try moving it towards the 8' porch and that will allow the full height of the 10' section to extend upwards.

Maybe not helpful but, If I am buying a laptop today I am thinking about X20. How many years did you run the dead laptop?
-
Which service are you using? The landscaping looks amazing for a few words instead of searching the library.
-
I compared it with a sharp stick in the eye. So far the stick is winning

What would constitute a "work product" from CA project?
Gawdzira replied to telligence's topic in General Q & A
It is a good question. The person you hired would be able to answer best but what you stated sounds like it is likely accurate. I don't use such language in my contract but "any work product" sounds like they are very open to you taking the CADD files. -
Just noticed Newburgh in your signature. Did you go through the architecture program at OCCC?

Never mind. I followed the bread crumbs (instructions in the knowledge base) https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03125/troubleshooting-error-messages-associated-with-the-program-s-data-folder.html#Windows

Does anyone know the cause of this type of error or how to fix it? I am trying to create a symbol. I have been seeing an error on saving but have ignored it since it was not holding up progress. This is V x16

Permitting Square Footage
Gawdzira replied to TressaDesigns's topic in Building Codes and Compliance
Ask your planning department that you are submitting to. Most of the AHJ's i deal with are measuring the outside layer of the siding.- 2 replies

What Perry said and also, don't be surprised if you are going to be hiring a civil engineer to design the grading and storm water management. I am not sure about Irvine but for most of the other areas where I am working in California, this is a must.
-
Possible situation is that your ceiling at the open porch area is set too high.

Here is an example area schedule table example.plan

I just completed a request for my plans pdf file to have bookmarks for each page. Is there a way to automate that in the print dbx? Doing a quick search through and I don't see anything. The data would need to capture the page title information and page number per the request I just got. This is a first time request from a jurisdiction that I am working in for the fist time so it caught me be by surprise.

I believe the engineer will correct the term "collar tie" in this case to "firewood".

I am seeing the same thing. The behavior I would expect would be that the length of line extension would be based on real world scale. Instead it appears to be pixel value.
-
Thanks for taking a look at that. I think I had my DPI set to 300 so I will try to drop that down to 144 and see if this affects it, positively.

Why would I lose the line extend and squigliness? Print to pdf Elevation view with line extension etc.

Before I modified the images above I did a quick test on Nano Banana to add some specific landscape in front of my crap plant placements with CA 2d plant images. I did not save that out since it was a quick test but it was very impressive what it did on the first pass/prompt.
-
First image is the source done with line overlay and PBR. The prompt was to make this image look more realistic. Nano Banana. I am on the free version so the file size is pretty small. It is curious that they changed the image of the artwork. Also the door interior color changed. I did not try to redo for those items.

These are future trouble spots. If it snows where you live, snow will build up here. If it rains where you live, water intrusion is likely due to concentrating the flow of water to these areas. It sounds like this is a project where you will have a strong hand in the construction process/general contractor end or things. I would suggest you reach out to the roofer who is likely to work on this project and get their input regarding a warranty on this roof configuration. It is possible they won't touch it. Either way, research "kick out flashing" before you finish the construction documents.

What are people doing for max height envelopes
Gawdzira replied to SHCanada2's topic in General Q & A
If it is a polyline, you can detach that segment and delete what you don't need.
