why not upload the plan. without seeing the plan I would look at temporary room dividers . I have done it in the past but it took perseverance.

You will have to change the rooms 1 at a time, I haven't found a way to do multiple unless I change the default. but as you only want to change 4 rooms. It would also help if we knew what program and version you were using, as a few things were changed in this area over the last couple of versions.

George Just tried an import of acad dwg file and it works fine. Do you know what version of acad it is in? or are you not getting to choose the file?

We have been lodging digitally for several years now, all in PDF format. We supply plans, specifications, calculations and other documentation in separate files. If they require them in 1 file it will be huge, but can all be put together with PDF editing software. I use Foxit Phantom. hope this helps, as don't know the exact requirements.

mine is exactly the sane as yours a read square with a blue circle inside, The only place to change the colours is in preferences/appearance/ colors but as you have obviously found out this does not control it. Therefore I believe it is hard coded.

It is normal to measure to the framing. however look at your framing defaults and change from dimension layer to surfaces.

There appears to be quite a few defaults that have changed or do not migrate. I went from X10 to X12 and have had to go through all my defaults and make adjustments.

I cant reproduce on my system, the main screen is locked, but the pop up works and just needs an input. This is normal behaviour.

I believe you can control the video card usage by program, cant remember how as I rarely use a laptop. Also confirm chief version as v12 may not run on win10 properly where as x12 (v22) will.

That dialog usually shows up if the file does not exist or has changed location. I don't use file locking but if there are two of you it is probably a good idea to use it.

Dermot I had changed it to 3 days but have never seen anything telling me there is an update unless it is a new version. checking manually is fine but people are too busy to think about doing such things.

Thanks guys it appears to be fixed in the latest update. wish CA would make it obvious when there are updates available.
