change layout template after you start working

open the 24X36 template copy page 0 onto page 0 of your layout after deleting your existing layout page 0. That should get you most of the way. Then just tidy up as reqd. -

That is your error you need to make the chord spans maybe 4 feet so that the webbing centres are correct, play around with the settings indicated in chopsaws post above.

Slow Performance and poor responsiveness in X12
Kiwideziner replied to justinorwig's topic in General Q & A
I notice recently a lag in camera views. But usually when I have my third monitor (TV) in use. I believe it is a graphics card issue, but not certain. You only have 4 Gb on graphics card so may be a similar problem. -

I find ø ( alt 0248) is better

Due to covid and social distancing I have mounted my old 50 inch tv on the wall in the office and run an HDMI cable to it. I have it duplicating my main screen, works great. just need to figure out a method of quickly and temporarily changing the mouse to some larger brighter thing to make it quicker to spot.

To achieve this the easiest way would be to start a whole new template with only 1 layer set. Then copy and rename for each set. However I don't see where it will get you as I have the walls dark and heavy in floor plan , but light and thin in the roof plan as an example.

Just dont put anything on the page, as long as it has a page number you ncan also have it not print if you want.

oops I think I misunderstood the question.
-
Rik There is no option that I have found, I just put cad lines on the roof plan and label them. Quick and easy.

Ryan the mirror tool is an ancient tool and was 'replaced' by the edit areas tool 5 or 6 years ago if my memory is correct. They however did not remove the mirror tool.
-
The reverse plan is dangerous to use. Use the edit area all floors tool then you can mirror, rotate, move. To date using this tool I have had no problems
-
You should NEVER use cm ion an architectural plan, they are on an ISO standard and could/ probably would cause errors. Only use metres or mm
-
I have not had this problem, had a 32 and a 27 both at their natural resolutions

I downloaded the 3d plant catalog 10 days ago with no cost.

I have had trouble printing to Adobe in the past, but only on odd layouts, so never got to the bottom of it. put it down to some sort of discrepancy between the 2 programs. I now use Foxit and don't seem to be having any problems.

Yes take time to learn saved plan views. I am just up ahead of you on this path, and I also at first thought what is the point. Having done things one way for 20 years it is definitely a bit of a change in thought and I am still tweaking things to make more benefit.

Mike think of the cad detail as drawing in model space in acad. I have all my details drawn in seperate plan files, all drawn at 1 to 1 just like a floor plan. Then link each reqd detail to my layout at the reqd scale 1:10, 1:5 etc. this makes it easy to save as a detail when it is not quite right for a specific instance. Just use a good naming convention.

too many questions, try the F1 key to learn about raytracing. what version of the program?? what are your computer specs?? just some of the reqd info to start answering.
