  1. Larry I cannot understand why you relink your layout boxes all individually, this wastes heaps of time. under tools>layout>ref plan files you can do it all at once. this makes the template much more powerful.
  2. I agree with Joe, also things are done slightly differently in different parts of the universe.
  3. what you need to understand is this forum is only a tiny subset of the user base, how the rest put forward their suggestions I do not know. From my perspective they spend a lot of time on rendering and very little on the basic functions now reqd for consenting, which is a never ending change.
  4. In the past CA have always released teasers to the best upgrades, I can't look at Facebook so still in the dark anyway.
  5. layer sets should do it . it is on layer camera's inactive I think.
  6. annotation sets are stored in the plan file so go back to previous template
  7. have you confirmed the lines as sent in the dwg have linewieghts, I have found that sometimes they don't .
  8. Have not done balusters for a while and not at m/c to test, but can you not set the baluster and rail height seperately. you would not be able to use the post to rail check box.
  9. I am finding I am weraing oput my scroll wheel as I can only see a small amount of the page a super wasteful layout.
  10. or select walls already built and select retain framing checkbox
  11. Yes you will have to change all of the drawings.
  12. If you have not shifted any dimension strings you don't see this, but it is how CA works. I know it is a PITA as you often have to move some of the strings, even with the defaults set up correctly
  13. I do almost all monoslabs and have them on level 0 built auto where possible ie most times.
  14. check your dimension defaults, for extention lines sounds as though they are set for larger scale or something.
  15. I tried the trial of Adobe DC Pro recently and found I had a few problems, I have since updated my paid version of Foxit Phantom and all is well. It is also a lot cheaper than Adobe. I typically have around 150 pages of A4 "spec, etc) and the plans works well. My biggest problem is having things in a file size that can be emailed ie no more than 18Mb file size. So definitely looking at options as time allows.
  16. You will probably get better answers on the Hometalk forum.
  17. What are your settings in the drawing sheet setup? particularly under advanced line weight options. I use 1:100 and then my lineweights vary between 10 and 100
  18. I dont have a problem dragging any walls. How are you trying to move them? May be an apple thing??
  19. You have to watch you dont click it more than once as it puts another copy in, especially insulation. As Perry said do it last thing.
  20. What resolution are you using?? check your print DBX settings
  21. I think the OP may be asking for fully auto trusses, not the current draw and drag copy method. But just a guess.
  22. You can use the secondary dimensions. or you may be able to cut and paste into a metric template, depending on the outcome you want.
