Not sure what outcome you are actually after but the roof planes are at different pitches are they supposed to be the same? by simply making all settings the same I can get the ridge at 45 deg and over corners.

Kiwideziner replied to Ikedcr's topic in General Q & A
Never seen this before but assume a Win 10 issue. check what your default progaramm exts are set to in win10. or some name like that. -

Stop shouting and go to the hometalk web page as this is for the CA Premier. you will get better answers on Hometalk.

Get him to put a couple of dims and re export and send, you will then be able to work out the scale factor. as a guess one or other of you may be setting units at mm instead of inches in the export/import process.

I have had good results with the Logitech G series, currently using a G400s. It mostly comes down to person preference.

Microsoft files seem to work differently with printers, seems to be a windows thing. never bothered to get to the bottom of it.

Sounds like a plotter problem, If the preview of the PDF shows as red then it should print red if printing in color on any printer / plotter.

Johnny the box with cad written on it lets you select the current cad layer

Have been having odd crashes with X8 which i have not had for 2 or 3 versions. Have not yet been able to pin point a couse, but maybe the computer is getting a little long in the tooth at 3 years or so.

Yes I found this problem the other day also. Had to shut down CA each time, the other work around might be to rename the second file and resend it may be quicker. Am yet to check this with the non beta version.

just a thought, for piping type thing maybe stretch planes??

I dont believe in doing things twice if I can help it. If you learn X1 you will then have to learn X7/X8. go straight to Latest.

Yes I saw that the other day with one elevation only, was in a hurry to get plan set out so just made them all line drawings. Have not had a chance to go back and see what was causing it. I have found the public beta to be way more unstable than the earlier releases, but nothing so far that I can consisantly reproduce to enable a bug report.

If just doing a std save after each window does not keep things going, something would appear to be amiss with your machine or it is a bug. need to send to CA to either prove it is a bug or something else.

Have you tried a programme shutdown and restart?
-
Ben what is the visual bug I have not seen it anywhere.

Although in the past using a uncommon font has caused problems, check that all the text defaults for layer, style, etc are actually set to chosen font. The layer default is one that usually gets people.

How Do You Change Dimension Call-Out Without Moving Wall
Kiwideziner replied to capitaldesigns's topic in General Q & A
Perry is that only in the public version? never found that one. although it is not something I will use for a dim, but might be handy for otther uses like noting where diierent framing stops and starts eg rafter sizes or similar. -
How Do You Change Dimension Call-Out Without Moving Wall

You can not do this, the best method is to draw the model accurately. otherwise you can change the dimension rounding in the preferences DBX. -
it appears it is showing the page number of the sheet you are editing, when you use the arrows after this it changes to the next higher or lower than the page displayed which is correct. Why it is displaying the number of the page being displayed is odd, I had not noticed it but then do not tend to use the project browser much anyway.

it should be treated like a tape measure. tape measures are not adjustable.
