  1. The is fully adjustable in the wall definitions DBX, It also works for drywall, siding whatever.
  2. They have, Rt's are a lot faster then they ever used to be.
  3. Also make sure you are using the NVidia card and not the on board built in card that a lot of laptops have.
  4. Not a workaround, listen to Glen, that is the tool for connections, now you can have any connection you want. I thought you wanted just to keep 2 walls from connecting.
  5. It work fine for any amount of floors for me
  6. I don't think so, only way I know is to change the label in the layout. if you set up a template layout page, you never have to do it again.
  7. Sorry to see they didn't fix the Ariel view re-fresh problem.
  8. Just change one thing in the new wall and they will not combine together , like layer, or make it 1/16" thicker. I add a different fill for new vs. existing.
  9. Well, this was a long time ago and I'm sure things have changed but I have always liked the way Chief put together a set of Construction doc's much better than Softplan. Chief was much easier to learn. Being on my own with no help from anyone, I needed to learn this as fast as I could, I didn't have time to mess around learning so I just went to a Class for Chief in San Diego and asked some questions and Bam, it all made sense. This forum is also the best there is. Just ask and you shall receive. I wanted to get my money back from Softplan, mainly b/c back then they didn't do mono slabs. Talked to the VP there and he said to keep trying and I did that. Then my refund time ran out. Chalk it up to my stupidity.
  10. I have Softplan and would never go back, even though I'm sure they have a lot of new features since I bought it.
  11. I don't use Norton's and had the same problem. I use ESET
  12. This happened to me a month ago and they know about it, should have been fixed by now but I guess not.
  13. Yes, its been that way for a long time
  14. You can create a thick wall and create an opening and it will show stucco by changing Some of the materials, it won't frame correctly though. I would use walls, looking at that picture
  15. Nice in depth analysis of both methods, you are deep. Thanks
  16. I attended classes in San Diego a few years back. What was good about that was , you could ask any question you wanted, and get an answer back, kind of one on one in the advanced course. You always get something out of it. I still do, except now it from the nice people here.
  17. You can also set the end windows and use the space evenly tool.
  18. Very nice Jim, You should start doing these, video's are king. Feel free to throw in a few jokes about me, I can take it. JK
  19. Joe, is the master of that stuff and Symbol building. Actually the old ChiefTalk post had exactly what I was looking for. It also included the pattern lines by Bryce. With Gawdzira's texture and Brice's pattern, it worked great for me. This is why this forum is invaluable thanks
  20. We need more info to answer that question. Please post the plan and be more exact about what you want, and someone here will look at it for you.
  21. We have been asking for that kind of tool for a long time now.
  22. It says video is private, can't watch
