  1. I pretty much do the same thing using Carbonite and its unlimited space available. As soon as I save the file on my SSD drive, it automatically goes to Carbonite where I can retrieve it from any device.
  2. I would put the 4" or so blocking on the top of the tread so it would stop your toe. On the bottom could be a toe catcher.
  3. I read the code to say if the stairs are 30" or less then you can have open risers and open risers are permitted with the sphere test
  4. I know that Scott has been doing it for a while now, maybe he will chime in.
  5. Under build/ walls section There is also a floor materials tool. The wall and floor materials tool will report to the the materials lists. Sometimes I just use a shower pan and change the material to whatever I want it to be. Tile, marble, granite The really good thing about it is it will delete any finish under it like drywall.
  6. Lots of ways to do it, I do like the way scott just takes it from another plan and plunks it down. It's so simple that way.
  7. I always make mine out of glass walls with no problems and use the wall material tool to put tile walls anywhere I want.
  8. Not with the new wall material tool.
  9. Ask and you shall receive, Hey Scott give him what he asks for. Video's and a laugh for free
  10. Thanks Joe, I have one of those coming up, just in time to try it. Shouldn't the brick go to the ground?
  11. It still won't work if you butt the cab's together but if you drag one side the the corner with auto blind cabinets turned on it will look correctly. Funny thing though, one side dragged thru didn't work but the other side did.
  12. I know Scott has done some video's on this a while back. Thanks for sharing that, nice to know.
  13. Around here if you have more than 4 bedrooms, you must have a 3 car garage, so I'm mostly trying "not to call" out bedrooms, and use other words like Study, Retreat, Bonus etc. Of course I leave the closet out.
  14. Similar, except the parapet wall extends higher than the roof. I can never get the auto roofs to do what I need, I do start with auto roofs but must always fix them unless they are very simple.
  15. Stairs and landings need to be connected, try to move the stairs a little and they might auto connect , then the railing will be correct. To verify if they are connected, open the stair DBX and if you see 2 stairs shown , they are connected
  16. Still not the same roof, looks like a parapet wall to roof
  17. Come on, Lew, really. The roof the OP wants is not the same as what chief has, manual for sure
  18. Yes I think that's the only way right now, maybe X7 will have some framing enhancements
  19. I have just given up, and use a ceiling plane where needed. Scott, does your method also provide a dw cover on the open ends of a partial dropped ceiling?
  20. I don't think you can do it automatically but ,yes ,I have done some of those
