  1. Around here if you have more than 4 bedrooms, you must have a 3 car garage, so I'm mostly trying "not to call" out bedrooms, and use other words like Study, Retreat, Bonus etc. Of course I leave the closet out.
  2. Similar, except the parapet wall extends higher than the roof. I can never get the auto roofs to do what I need, I do start with auto roofs but must always fix them unless they are very simple.
  3. Stairs and landings need to be connected, try to move the stairs a little and they might auto connect , then the railing will be correct. To verify if they are connected, open the stair DBX and if you see 2 stairs shown , they are connected
  4. Still not the same roof, looks like a parapet wall to roof
  5. Come on, Lew, really. The roof the OP wants is not the same as what chief has, manual for sure
  6. Yes I think that's the only way right now, maybe X7 will have some framing enhancements
  7. I have just given up, and use a ceiling plane where needed. Scott, does your method also provide a dw cover on the open ends of a partial dropped ceiling?
  8. I don't think you can do it automatically but ,yes ,I have done some of those
  9. Sounds like your video card or monitor.
  10. I hate having to thicken the ceiling drywall to get a lower ceiling to show correctly but there is always a ceiling plane, oh wait, it won't show anything on the face of that lowered ceiling. Of course none of it frames correctly.
  11. Yep, now that you mention it , I also see it going off the screen partially, I just move one edge and it pops back.
  12. I would say it's user error, for sure.
  13. I'm not sure what you have going on with your system but good luck, hope it all goes well.
  14. Around here the window frame is usually never the thickness of the wall.
  15. You can just re-do it and make sure you have everything. Did you select everything you wanted?, if so it should be there.
  16. Yes me, and each new version seems to have this same problem and I have to go into each lib-- detail/notes and, select the text and re-save to the lib. I have also told Chief about this many times over the years.
  17. Use a template plan and layout to bring your settings forward to the new computer. if you look at the file "Import" section, there are a lot of settings you can bring forward that way also.
  18. Open your user lib and shift select 1st and last items , right click, and click export lib. then in the new just import lib.
  19. Just use the inset box, if that is what you want--not sure moved window.zip
