  1. Is that wall a no roof def wall?. I think it will only center in a room.
  2. The master template is the profile plan and layout that comes with the program.
  3. I get that very rarely ,Not sure why but I just re-start chief and everything ok. No time to investgate, just keep going.
  4. There is really nothing other than just setting up the program, the way you want it, then saving that as a template plan. We all have had to do it but, you only have to do it once unless you want several templates.
  5. Chief's archives , after saving to dropbox you would still have copies in the My doc.s folder as usual.
  6. You will still have the older one's in the archive's
  7. Sometimes I need to zoom in closer to break it. You can also convert it to a plain p-line and convert it back to a slab
  8. No I did several things (wall def's) and two corner walls in the front weren't connected. You also has a single layer wall in the front pony wall and I just changed it to a stucco wall, not sure if that's what you want, but it was multi layered. The single layered walls cannot extend below the floor line.
  9. here is your plan back fixed as to your problem but I can see many other problems also, watch some video's on wall definition's and rooms. 3106Glebe06142014 fixed.plan
  10. Are rooms turned on and did you frame it? Looks like you have a room definition problem. I'll see if I can find it. Also looks like your wall definitions are wrong and they all need to be fixed.
  11. You should send them in, this problem has been forever. I hope in X7 this is finally fixed, I have had to just add mono slabs using the old way, and include footings, of course you cant adjust individual footings that way but it works.
  12. I think Joe C. does a lot of log homes, I'm sure I've seen some of his stuff before. Maybe he can chime in.
  13. I pretty much do the same thing using Carbonite and its unlimited space available. As soon as I save the file on my SSD drive, it automatically goes to Carbonite where I can retrieve it from any device.
  14. I would put the 4" or so blocking on the top of the tread so it would stop your toe. On the bottom could be a toe catcher.
  15. I read the code to say if the stairs are 30" or less then you can have open risers and open risers are permitted with the sphere test
  16. I know that Scott has been doing it for a while now, maybe he will chime in.
  17. Under build/ walls section There is also a floor materials tool. The wall and floor materials tool will report to the the materials lists. Sometimes I just use a shower pan and change the material to whatever I want it to be. Tile, marble, granite The really good thing about it is it will delete any finish under it like drywall.
  18. Lots of ways to do it, I do like the way scott just takes it from another plan and plunks it down. It's so simple that way.
  19. I always make mine out of glass walls with no problems and use the wall material tool to put tile walls anywhere I want.
  20. Not with the new wall material tool.
  21. Ask and you shall receive, Hey Scott give him what he asks for. Video's and a laugh for free
