Ok then he has some on chieftutor.com then. look in his section.
-
look at his YouTube channel. he did some new ones

Yes, I really don't do door or window sections as I'm not even sure what the contractor is putting in b/c the homeowner hasn't selected it yet, most of the time.
-
I agree, the best thing would be to block up the plate line to carry the roof load, I was just commenting on the way his 2nd drawing showed, not sure whitch one he wants.
-
Exactly, that's why I love them, and you get a laugh at the same time, why you ask, b/c we have all been there, and can relate to them
-
Yes, Richard, I would run the c.j. through to connect with the rafters or provide separate rafter ties. In most standard conditions 5-16d nails are usually ok unless you have something unusual going on there. I think his first post shows that.
-
Actually I really don't draw many cad details, if any, these days. I try to find one from my lib, that's close and modift then save it for the future.
-
Sorry go to go for an appointment now, will look at it when I get back. Maybe someone else can look at it.

What I'm trying to say is you will benefit from just drawing using Anno-sets if you are like me and continuously changing views ,Floor, framing, foundation, roof, It a huge time saver. Different scales also. remember when we use to have to change the text, dimensions, lines, cad default, with each switch of the views---well no more.
-
Lew, Anno-sets have been around for a while now and I just can't understand why everyone isn't using it. Anno-sets are one of Chief's #1 "time savers" of all time. Once set up its done and you never have to think about again.

If there is no wall I'd have to do it manually. I would have used a railing wall ( post to beam) so you could have a wall to change if you wanted to do it that way. Post the plan so we could see exactly what's going on there.

Where Happened to my Ceiling Framing in my Elevations

Glen, I think he just wants the void to show and no framing. -
Need Help Creating Dry Stream Bed, Berm In Landscape
DRAWZILLA replied to B4UBLD's topic in General Q & A
There is a stream feature in, terrain/ water features/ stream. It will automatically carve you a depression for the stream. I personally don't get to much into landscaping so maybe someone else has an idea. -
Funny thing, its associated to the last base cab on the far left of the island as you look at the island, just delete that cabinet and put one back. Don't know how that happened unless you slid it over there.

Can't move or resize anything in perspective views
DRAWZILLA replied to mydog8it's topic in General Q & A
Try not using the Setpoint drivers, for your mouse, just delete that driver from the devices list and restart and you will get the OS generic mouse driver. worked for me and we have the same mouse- 24 replies

Where Happened to my Ceiling Framing in my Elevations
DRAWZILLA replied to YellowfinDesign's topic in General Q & A
I'll take those rep points anytime, thanks. I think your answer is, they changed it and you'll have to draw lines for the voids. I thought taking away the framing would leave the void , but it doesn't. For me I like to see the framing, but that's me. -
I don't know what Doug said, but it had to be "banned" unless they were having problems on their end. I could read but had no post box to post in. Never seen that before. Definitely have some good friends here. Now, Why do I have to live with great cooking, I don't know what to do, I just keep getting fatter. Does that work for more points.

Where Happened to my Ceiling Framing in my Elevations
DRAWZILLA replied to YellowfinDesign's topic in General Q & A
Not yelling at you, just to lazy ,and forget to change the all caps sometimes I think I misunderstood you with your title, "What happened to my ceiling framing--". thought you wanted framing, I think what you want is the void where framing would go. -
I never use the materials list, I think in the past it never posted to the materials list, shows you how much I use it.
-
I never rotate plans, if I need to rotate, I would try rotating the layout view first. Heard that somewhere before. I guess you could rotate the room labels by hand.
-
I remember something like that, but not sure about it , as with life itself, it's a crap shoot
-
You could try to copy/ paste the plan from X6 to an X5 plan and fix up the differences.
-
Paperport also has a lot of conversion type available that is included.
-
look here. If you use plain text you can go to defaults and change it or if you use text styles, you can change it there also
-
That's my point a p-solid could be anything but you have no way of addressing this
