The problem for me with a clean install is that it takes about 3 days for me to re-install all my app's. Don't have an extra 3 days for that right now.

1st, 2nd, 3rd Floor Roofs - Show on 1 Plan ?
DRAWZILLA replied to Joe_Carrick's topic in General Q & A
Yes, I like the MMRLS and it is very much needed. -
Yes you need to create the space for it then use the lib to insert it. All in the cabinet DBX
-
I use the Pro version and It's not ready for me yet, something in the registry. I have to wait until they fix it.
-
Nice, still waiting for my invite to 10

I think the spell check is associated with your browser

In scaling check "to scale 1:1, not 95%

Sorry, I should have said who I was asking--(kbird-Mick.) fixed it now.

MICK Hey, buddy, are you the invisible partner that Lew has talked about for many years, who Lew would send his roofs to?

I really never use cad details anyway, I like everything live, if possible ,and all my details are in the layout or the lib. I never remember them updating automatically. Maybe b/c ,I never use them.
-
But not automatically like Schedules do, of course you can open any cad detail and change it just like elevations but as far as I know schedules are the only thing that will do it automatically without opening it up.
-
I wonder why Schedules are the only thing that automatically updates in a cad detail?
-
You can also change one thing, like the name(label) to get things to list separately, if you already have Joe's method in use.
-
I have had them in the plan, but willing to try a cad detail--next new job. I have noticed that having them in the plan sometimes causes them to re-size (get larger) for no reason. Why, I don't know but I'm getting tired of it.

Change the widths of appliance symbols to avoid errors.
DRAWZILLA replied to MarkMc's topic in Tips & Techniques
I have noticed that also. I just change them and put them in my template plan--but Chief should be aware of it, but really, can Chief cover every range/ appliance situation. Probably not. Even standard Refrigerators also vary greatly and I just leave 3'2" for them. -
Simple just add a floor where the attic is now. 3rd floor
-
But, are those all p-solids or a symbol he found somewhere?
-
Thanks, Joe, it sounds just like what I need b/c I'm running out of room on the page.

Nice exterior drain lines

After turning on "color off is grayscale"I print everything in Color, when you print to paper, set it to Grayscale there or turn off Color it will show in Grayscale. Also keep your colors on the dark side if you want them to print in Grayscale, there is a point that the lighter colors just won't print. If you want a combo of color and grayscale, just open the layout box you want in grayscale , and check grayscale.
-
I the Preferences section Check " color off is grayscale".

I'll have to try putting those in a cad detail, I always put all the schedule's in the plan, so as I design, I can view them b/c I use the room finish sched as my square footage info. Really helps to separate new rooms from existing rooms. I guess I could throw them on the 2nd monitor, that might work better for me.

You can also make the text to 1/128 and put the new text over it.

Johnny Are you just looking for 3d?, if not, How does it frame for you? How does the foundation work for you? What about electrical. Are there too many lines in vector view?
