  1. Looks to me like the batts are white or light gray. Change them to black in the edit texture DBX. I have an anno-set just for sending elevations to the layout,(Scott does this also) to get the lineweight I want, like windows ,doors, and roofs for the pop effect.
  2. I don't think Chief is really made for commercial work (Con doc's) so you would have to do some workarounds.
  3. Adjust the "panel frame options" in the door DBX.
  4. You can select any text , then hold down the "x" key and drag a corner, to change the size to fit somewhere.
  5. Did you change your serial number?
  6. change the reference set to what you want to show, or create a new reference set. You just copy a set that is close to what you need and rename it using ______ ref set. I have several ref sets
  7. The problem is that it dosent stick with the updates, you get the old one and have to change it again.
  8. Is has roof checked in the room DBX?
  9. I also see the text wrap problem, but if you open the text and check auto width and height, it will show correct. I have seen this in just about every upgrade for a few years now. Not seeing any missing text or section number problem.
  10. I start drawing the proposed plan by laying out the existing using existing defaults, when done with that, I simply save as -existing including the cad mask background, then change all my defaults to new, windows ,doors ,walls, labels, and continue drawing the new. That way there in no re-linking any of the plans. You would just send the existing plan to the layout like it was a new plan. My templates are actually saved with existing defaults. This works great with existing vs new windows and doors, walls and labels, schedules.
  11. Not coming from and AutoCAD, Revit background, I used other cad, and Chief was very easy for me to learn, couple of classes and done. I do have to thank Scott Hall for all his help early on.
  12. To me it looks like your crosshairs, But that other line probably is not a bug
  13. yep post it. Does the band sit on the exterior surface and not intrude into the wall?
  14. o.m.g. I very happy now. Bring on the macro's now. I have to change my plan defaults, but happy to do it.
  15. thank you sir. wait for it, wait for it.
  16. Joe did you download the fix notes, I didn't, and now can't go back and get them. If someone could post them here, I would jump up and down creating an earthquake in your neighborhood.
  17. I also do it this way, thanks for the video Michael
  18. That NVidia must have an hdmi port. Mine has several but it's a desktop, Joe does your laptop have more then 1 port. You could get a splitter I guess.
