Hard to tell what exactly you are doing, Most details like that are done in a cad detail box and not in the floor plan view. I guess you could just make your lines larger, by weight, to maybe 21 or 25. If you print in color just remember to keep your colors on the dark side. There is a setting in the preferences , Color off is black and white or grayscale, try changing that to get what you want also. I can't check your preferences b/c when I load your plan , my preferences are used and not yours. Are you just using Chief to draw details ?

If you use template layout sheets, you can just delete any pages you don't want in that layout. I have my template layout with all the sheets I will need ,then just delete the ones you don't want. The pages will re-number themselves. If you need to add sheets, right click on the layout page and add a sheet before or after that sheet. Very easy. For the next project you just start with all the sheets in a layout again by using templates.

Could it be your video card? Which one do you have. What version of Chief?

Pocket & Surface Sliding Door Library
DRAWZILLA replied to Joe_Carrick's topic in Symbols and Content
I always draw the pocket and always did. it should be shown in every plan. I'm not on the job site when the plumming goes in. So. -
I believe it was Dermot that told me to stop bringing plans and layouts forward, and use a profile plan and layout to start any new version with, now, didn't use to be that way.

I do it all the time, I also don't think your roof labels are turned on in the ref. set. You might also be using the wrong ref set.

It's even easier now that we have one button to update everything in the plan.

Barrett, the video would have to be very long to detail it all. Dennis , I use to do it that way b/c Chief said no problem ,but they now have changed their minds on this a recommend you start with a fresh new profile plan and layout so nothing gets left behind. Go figure.

I just open X7 and X8 and copy X7 layout items ,page by page, to a new profile layout. No quick way to do it. I always allow 3 days to get familiar with new versions and setup everything.

I have been doing Calgreen for a few years now but all of the cities I do work in are just requiring you to just add all the notes to the plan. No calc's required yet. Haven't seen any enforcement on it yet also.

Actually I brought in my details from a cad program I did them in, many years ago, I just copy change and save them to my lib. to insert into the layout. The details I show are just the usual ones I use all the time. I have developed a lot of details over 40 years. Never draw them anymore, just change as needed.

Develop a layout and plan template with all that stuff already in it and you will not forget anything, you will probably delete stuff (its easier than adding stuff.). I always look for things that shorten the drawing time. Also I have all views already sent to the layout so you can just open them , change the name and start drawing, everything automatically sent to the layout.

Why Won't Mirrors Display In Elevation, Cross Section Views?
DRAWZILLA replied to conwaynorth1's topic in General Q & A
Because sections are cuts so there is nothing to reflect. Camera views take into consideration the whole model. -

Did you turn on all the foundation items, like, footings foundation walls, slabs, in that camera view. ? -
Is This Possible? - Auto Cad Wall Details
DRAWZILLA replied to DakotaContractor's topic in General Q & A
Walls have multi-line labels now. You can put any description in that label and turn it on to create a wall legend of sorts. Joe has been asking for Chief to release more of Ruby so we could just add it to elevations and details. Right now a wall label is it. -

Dashed Foundation Walls Not Displaying In Layouts
DRAWZILLA replied to CARMELHILL's topic in General Q & A
The blurriness is intended, it will print at high resolutation. It's intended to speed up things for viewing, its ok.
