tommy1
Perry, I just tried it....doing an elevation with window and door labels turned on. I can select everything. I'm not having your problem. (X6)
DRAWZILLA
Ok, it might be a setting, but tech support can't find anything yet and they were also having this problem thanks, Tommy
tommy1
I'm going to try something and see if I get your results.
tommy1
Nope. Still can't reproduce it. Is the problem only in this plan or in all plans?
DRAWZILLA
All plans mostly b/c I use labels in my elevations
tommy1
I tried it in the back clip elevation too. No problems there either.

glennw
Perry. That's a weird one. How about posting the plan here so that we can have a go.
dshall
Hey P., I don't have that problem either. Must be something with your system.
DRAWZILLA
Ok, here is the plan for your pleasure. Try a front elevation and select a few windows or doors if you can. labels are on. label problem plan.zip
Gawdzira
No problem and I am at home on my Sunday computer (not as fast as the specs in my signature). When was the last time you rebooted?
DRAWZILLA
Wow, I re-boot every day and shutdown every night. I thought it might be my mouse but I plugged in another one and, same thing. The only other thing might be in preferences b/c those don't transfer with the plan. Thanks for testing
DRAWZILLA
ok, found the problem, it was a setting in the NVidia control panel. I had it set for 16 and should be 4. thanks everyone Edit, didn't fix it.
Gawdzira
I just checked my setting for that long word thing and mine is set to Application Controlled. I strongly suspect that is the default because I had never ventured into that dark area before.
DRAWZILLA
No go, after further review, labels are still causing me a problem.
DRAWZILLA
It seems that after I move a label in elevation view it hangs up, and I cannot select anything else unless I hit f12, then it refreshes.
Kiwideziner
Perry Tried a front elev, all fine with labels off, turned on labels and got a freeze up had to hit f12. and same thing when turning off labels. however after hitting f12 everything worked fine. I suspect some high graphics requirement in this plan as my card is toward the low end due to machine to be replaced in 6 months.
glennw
Perry, I am seeing the freeze with labels off. But I am also getting an error message that says : This polyline solid overlaps or crosses itself. It may not look correct in 3D. Filled objects may also draw incorrectly in 2D. It appears 3 times in a row. Are you getting that message? Another thing - as soon as I delete one of your sidewalks everything comes back to normal - even if I undo the deletion.
Gawdzira
I opened it again and in trying to move things in your elevation I am getting the freezing with labels on or off. There is about 12 seconds of freezing on my machine but with labels on I had some longer freezes to the point of closing the window. I have been working with the file shown in the attached image without any problems. I have labels on and I do a lot of editing in elevation and 3d mode. My guess is that you have some issues based on a macro. I tried deleting the window and door macros on the front elevation but that did not help with the front elevation. Gawdzira
Turn these off and your problem goes away. I don't have more time to mess with this but I am still curious. It is probably only one thing that is the problem. Maybe the glass one?
Joe_Carrick
I had the same experience as Glenn. This seems to be a problem with something in the terrain, not the labels. Interestingly, displaying a 3D perspective view seems to fix the problem - weird.
glennw
Perry, I can fix the problem by turning off Auto Build Roof Framing and Auto Build Floor & Ceiling Framing. I haven't got a clue why this works - but it does. Have a play with these settings and see what happens for you. Could have something to do with the Auto Rebuild Walls Floors/Ceiling setting that Alan covered. The poly solid error message is coming from your post brackets.
