Hello wizards,

I consider myself more or less adept in the Chief dark arts, but after many a rat vaporized and many an orb pondered, this particular spell continues to elude me. So I humbly ask any of you wise in the ways of the arcane: could you describe how I could go about achieving this look? I have attempted the use of molding polylines and distribution polylines, but nothing comes out quite right.

I took a stab at it as well. A library symbol is attached, all you need to do is create an arched door way and place this symbol in your plan.

For anyone wondering...NOT made with cabinet tools!

The second I saw the photo in post 1, I knew the cabinet whiz kids would start a race to see who could cross the finish line first.  In a photo finish it was Mark by a whisker.

Had a though and found that by changing the top and bottom separations to side panel inset slabs the extra semi circle goes away eliminating the need to use delete surface tool. Note if changing height you have to do that before changing out the separations or it goes away when shortening the height.
