Abbreviations List

I would like to build an abbreviations list using a text box. I couldn’t find anything that I could use to sort the list alphabetically as I build it. Do I have to use a macro or is there another way to do this?

Try a Note Schedule and you can sort it manually otherwise I think you will need to use excel and import or something similar.

If you create your notes before creating the schedule, the notes will be sorted alpha numerically according to the label.

If you have already created the schedule before creating the notes, they will be added to the bottom of the schedule in the order you create them.

So if you already have your notes and a schedule created, delete the schedule and create a new one - it will be sorted alphanumerically.

I've made some edits and additions to Joey's list to suit my needs. It is a library text item, all defaults for standard text. I have this in a spreadsheet and have sorted it alphabetically in the abbreviation column (I'd recommend this to others as abbreviations are probably an ongoing work in progress).

I have an ever growing list and funny thing is I maybe use 15% of the words.

I usually just Cut/Paste Hold Position for that functionality.
