I fixed it in a few seconds by deleting the two planes that are coplanar and creating a new roof plane in their place.

No, you can't do that. You can only mull in one direction at a time. Mull the sidelights to the door, then mull the transom to the prior group.

Anyone know why dimension extensions on doors and windows have locate points so far out from the object? See image. It makes it difficult if you want to show a consistent gap from marked object down the string. I searched the forum and couldn't find any other threads dealing with the question, searched help with no luck, and watched a CA video that showed the same offset of the locate points, but it didn't address the offset. I know we can set "distance toward marked object" which can force the extensions to be all the same length, but if the dimension line is moved the gap will change. Anyway, just curious if anyone knows why these locate points are different for doors and windows, and if there's a setting somewhere that changes it...

I tried that setting, way too many hits on Tab to cycle just the text boxes. It now focuses on everything. To change a line style color, there are literally 20 focal points in that one little DBX. Have to change it back.

The problem I had with touch screen was clients reaching to point something out on the design and wreaking havoc! Easy enough to turn off the touch screen function, but something I didn't anticipate...

The only thing I saw missing was, as Michael already said above, you must have "Display in Plan View" in the pony wall spec DBX set for "DEFAULT." If not, the default setting is ignored and switching the Saved Plan View does not change the appearance of the pony wall.

Michael has the right answer but just to add a little more clarity, the Default Settings for Pony Walls can be set differently for different Saved Plan Views, and Chief will respect the different settings as you go from SPV to SPV... IF, as Michael said, the "Display in Plan View" for the Wall Spec is set to DEFAULT. This is somewhat uncommon as most Default settings are global, but Pony Walls can actually have different settings for different Saved Plan Views.

Wow. Had to stop. It made me want my pencils and drawing board back. You have to manually delete line fragments after drawing "walls"??? What if you want to move a wall?? Geez... I do like the View Cube, though. Nice to be able to go from plan view to 3D to elevations within the same window...

I like the look too. Also like the idea of having more control over door display elements. I prefer to not show door jambs on floor plans, but the only way to not show it is to uncheck Jamb in the door DBX and if jamb is unchecked, it doesn't show on 3D views, making the model incorrect. This is new in X11, previous versions could have jamb unchecked and they would still appear in 3D. Put in a Suggestion.

Just to clarify for anyone else who might find this thread, if the OP created a new plan from the OOB template in X11 the plumbing line styles won't be in the drop down.

A new feature in X11 is that most line styles are no longer automatically displayed in the "Polyline Specification" Line Style drop down. If you don't see a style you need in the drop down, click on Library and navigate to the Line Styles folder in the Core Catalogs. There you'll find a folder for Plumbing Line Styles. Once you use a line style in a plan, it will always be available in the drop down for that plan from then on. You can also select the line style you want from the Library Browser and drag it into your plan, and it will appear in the drop down of the specification dialog from then on. The purpose of the feature change is so the drop down isn't always populated with so many often-unused line styles. But you can set up your template to include any line styles in the drop down that you want.

My method is a little different, I just draw room dividers where I want the tray creating a square room inside the actual room, select the new room and raise its ceiling height. Seems the easiest to me.

+1, I design a lot of walk-out basements and do the same. To create frost walls at the full-exposure walls, I just take an elevation and select the wall, usually a pony wall with wood framing atop concrete, and drag it down. Making separate foundation and basement plans from the same floor is easy with dedicated annotation sets. If the foundation and the basement are on separate floors, how is the model correct and how do you use it to create elevation drawings??

I get shadow offsetting a lot on 3D plot lines with shadows: This one really baffled me. You can see how much it shrank the shadow:

Your layout view is probably linked to a saved plan view like "Working Plan View" then whenever you change anything on that plan view it changes the layout view. Unlink the layout view by choosing "None" in the layout box spec dialog. Better yet, bone up on saved plan views, layer sets, and annotations sets.

Just a guess, but you might have some automatically generated invisible attic walls up in the loft. Go to the attic level and see...? Without looking at the plan that's all I got.

We seem to have lost this control in the time since 2015, or at least I can't find how to turn off active cameras in plan view now, in X11... I can change several parameters in Defaults to reduce what is displayed in plan view, but it doesn't apply to existing cameras, and it has to be set for each type of camera. I can also change the same parameters in individual active cameras, but it has to be done to each camera. Is the function still there to suppress the plan view display of all active cameras??

If you're only concerned with the line being on a layout and you send elevations as plot lines, you can delete the line in the layout view using the Edit Layout Lines tool:
