  1. You can place them on a separate layer, I believe, and turn that layer off.
  2. I ended up finding one. I'll share it when I get back to the office.
  3. Has anyone gone through the process yet of downloading one of these and placing it in Chief. I don't have SketchUp on the machine I am at right now, but need one of these. http://www.viega.us/4741.html
  4. Bump for this post heading into the New Year! Great service for homeowner/builders as well, and for builders that need a trusted outsourcing partner for design services. Have a great year everyone!!
  5. Yes. Just use the deck rail tool and tell Chief you want a ceiling and roof over it...poof, done. Just a couple clicks.
  6. If you drew the walls with the deck rails tool, make sure that you have selected to have a ceiling/roof over the deck.
  7. Select the front wall, open the DBX, go to the roof tab, and select gable.
  8. Yep. Mine does too. Never used that feature. Still learning I guess.
  9. I used this company to order my digital seals. Came with .tiff, .jpeg & .dxf for use on drawings. http://www.acornsales.com/professional-seal-stamp-s/1827.htm
  10. In baths, there will only be ONE auto outlet placed. If you have a vanity placed first, it will place it at the vanity.
  11. I am unaware that GCFI outlets were ever placed automatically in Kitchens. To make sure I wasn't loosing my mind, I just opened the help file and it does not say anything about kitchens, only BATH or MASTER BATH.
  12. Yes. Everything is on the layout template page(s).
  13. My preference is to keep them on my layout template.
  14. At one point it looks like you have full roof return across that gable. That appears to be the framing from that return. Re-frame the roof. Not sure about the cabs.
  15. No way you should be drawing roof lines manually, and trust me, I'm one of the biggest proponents for quality construction documents. With Chief, there are a couple things that we just learn to live with, and roof planes are one of them. I made a suggestion here.... ..and here are a couple of suggestions. One would be to keep the roof planes on the level they are on, then they don't show overlapped, the other is using fill and note that the shaded planes are sitting on the first floor plate.
  16. Thanks Joe. It's not the info..it's the center/left/right justification that I am after.
  17. This is what the label will look like. I have centered the text by eyeing it. Possible via a setting?
  18. Quick question. I have a client that doesn't like door/window schedules. He wants the info (size, type, header) listed at the opening. Is there a way to center the label text? If not..has it been suggested?
  19. Following this closely. I also use Dropbox for Chief. All my active plan/layout files, as well as my template plan and layout template are kept there. Would love to everything synced.
  20. Perhaps here.... https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=bc224120-5de4-4d2c-b431-b4d97a529060 ...make needed adjustments and save?
  21. What size is the pier? How much concrete does Chief calculate? How much concrete do you calculate? Did you create the pier as a solid object, or use the pier tool?
  22. I simply export as jpeg from my plan view screen. I post these to the net all the time, never seem to have an issue.
